Alone

Eric is gone on a fishing trip, so I am all alone for the weekend.

But don't think for one second that just because I am alone that I will be bored. Tonight I entered a Partylite order and made 30 bath bombs. Tomorrow I am going in a parade and an agility show with Paris.

Saturday I have a craft show in Gimli. This is going to be a big one and I am really nervous! I ran out of ingredients too, so I hope I will have enough stuff.

Sunday I am off to BCBC to help my mother in law cook for the week.

And as for my "exciting" opportunity, I will still post about it sometime soon, but it is turning out to be not as exciting as one would hope. God sure confuses me sometimes.

Baseball Injury

I got injured in baseball tonight. (You have reason to be scared of the ball, Jennifer!!)

I got hit with a hard line drive to the outer arm. I cried. It was pretty painful. I went to the hospital, but they did not think it was broken, and neither did I.

It feels much more functional now, but I have taken some Aleve and I just finished icing it so that might be why.

I don't think it looks that swollen...
Maybe a little red.

I hope I am not too sore tomorrow.

Again...

This is going to be the day of wasted posts.

On the bright side, we have baseball tonight.

I love playing sports, I have just realized in the last year. Makes me wish I was more into them when I was a kid!

Just Ignore This Post

Still trying to work out the kinks of this blog....

Looks like I am going to have to manually redo my blog lists! :(

Change Complete

I really didn't know how much time to give this, but my need to change the address was pretty immediate and I didn't want to go private. I guess if you are a follower of my blog then nothing would change for you anyways.

I can still google my name and get this blog though....

It also seems like I have lost both my blog lists. Which is really sucky...

Address Change - UPDATED

I will be changing my blog address because I want it to be a bit harder for people to find me. I don't like that you can see my blog when you google my name! I am hoping to change it to lintcd.blogspot.com, but it might be something else. But once I change it you won't be able to find me at this one.

**Update** - the new address will be www.diaryofacrazyperson.com . You should be able to search that name in Google, but I am hoping to make it that you can't search it by my name! Everything should be finished by the end of the day. I hope that makes sense.

Pool Party!

I had a hard time falling asleep last night, and I woke up bright and early this morning! I got to work relatively early for once. It is kinda nice.

After work we went to a friend's place for a pool party. He dates my friend/coworker, and he lives right across the street from where I work! It was a nice warm day and I love swimming. I probably spent at least an hour in the pool! Or maybe it just felt that long. It was fun. Towards the end a random guy named Jason wandered into the yard to hang out. He was super friendly and must have known a few other people there. How bizarre!

Tomorrow night I am hoping to get some bath bombs made for my craft sale this weekend!

Great Sunday!

Another great day off with my love. We went to church in the morning together, something we don't often get to do because he is either at work or we are away.

Right after we headed to the city to the batting cages. We each did three rounds, which was a lot of fun, but there was quit a line up for the slow pitch and it started drizzling. So we headed to home run sports because I needed a baseball glove. The one I have now is close to 15 years old, and your hand turns black when you wear it!

We got there 20 minutes too late, home run sports was already closed. So we went to Sportschek instead. I wanted to spend $50 on a glove, but I could not find anything nice in that price range. So Eric convinced me to get the $100 glove because it was very nice. So I did. We also got a ball, so I assumed the total was going to be around $120. Then the cashier announced it was $72, and she must have seen the shocked look on my face because she told me the glove was on sale for $60! I was pretty happy! That is more like what I wanted to spend. I love getting surprise deals!

We went to Montana's for supper, then headed to our soccer game. We brutally lost, but it was fun anyways!

Right before the soccer game, we were presented with a very exciting opportunity! But that is a whole nother post for another day. I need some sleep!

Weekend Together

It is not often that Eric and I have a weekend off together. And if we do, it is usually because we are going some where for youth or a family event.

But this weekend is one of the rare ones that we have at home. It is so nice to be home together, with no plans. We got a lot done around the house, and we had lots of time to relax. Eric did a deep clean of the bathroom, and I vacuumed and made a Strawberry Limeade batch of bubble bars.

In the evening we went for a bike ride with the Setters, then had a bonfire at our place with friends.

Tomorrow after church we are planning on going to the city for a date. We are hoping to find some batting cages, and we might do a bit of shopping. Then in the evening we have SOCCER!!! I really hope this game isn't cancelled like most of the rest of them!

Baseball!

Tonight was our first slo pitch game of the season! We lost, but it was a lot of fun. I am excited to have a team this year.

They made me play first base, which was really nerve wracking, but I did alright. I caught the ball a lot more than I thought I could. I am really looking forward to playing some more, I like our team and I am pumped to hang out with them!

Sooo.....

...we got a MacBook Pro. Got, not bought. It was a birthday gift for Eric and I from some wonderful, generous people who would rather remain nameless.

I am so thankful. So humbled. SO EXCITED.

I love it. I still have a lot of learning to do, and we still need to transfer all of our files onto it. I am pretty pumped to have a laptop again. It is going to be very nice to be able to take our work with us. Well not just our work, but our fun too!

In other news, not that anything is as exciting as getting a MacBook in my life right now, I started running again yesterday. It feels great. I rad for 20 minutes yesterday and 30 minutes today. I am hoping to get to bed soon so I can get up in the morning and run.

I have also added pics and stuff to posts below. And a few posts were late, even though I wrote them on the day they were supposed to because of technical difficulties!

When I got back to my driveway Maeve took off into the farmyard next door, chasing a coyote. I saw it, too! I yelled at her to come back, and when she came running back the coyote was chasing her! Kinda scary. Makes me nervous to go running, but I know my dogs will keep me safe!

Father's Day

When I was a kid Father's day was not a big deal in our single parent house. The gifts we used to make in school always went to one of my uncles. It was always kind of an akward time.

And now recently father's day has had a bit of a bitter taste because it is just another reminder of infertility.

But now I am blessed to have an amazing step dad and father in law. Today we got to celebrate with Eric's family. Eric and I made a meal for his parents and we hung out there for the afternoon.

In the evening we played a pick up game of baseball. It was a lot of fun but I wished we could have gotten a few more people so we could have had a real game.

I am hoping to post some pics of the meal I made tomorrow!

Day 6

I just finished working day 6 in a row! Today me and and a co worked were talking about how we were not meant to work full time. So 6 days in a row seem like a lot of me. I can't wait to be at home with babies, cooking and cleaning. That is my DREAM!

So I have decided this is the month I am going to get pregnant. I hope and pray God has decided that too!

But seriously, no more negativity this month. I can get pregnant. It is possible. Just rinse and repeat....

I just need to keep working out. I have totally fallen off the running wagon and can't seem to get back one. I think I will start Monday morning. I would like to run in the mornings, which means I would like to go to bed at 10, get up at 6, run for 30 minutes then do 20 minutes of yoga then shower and get ready for my day. That is my ideal morning.

The hardest part of that is going to bed at 10. It is rare that I get to bed before 11. Usually I am ready to shut my eyes by 12. That is FAR to late, even to get up at 7. When I have kids the sleep deprivation thing will be no problem, because I don't get enough as it is!

Thanks for reading the most random post of the week! Have a great Sunday!

My Floating Garden

I just think these things are so cool! The red one has strawberries and the green ones have tomatoes, one cherry and one regular! I really hope they work out. So far the plants seem to be doing very well! I can't wait to eat from them!

Time For A New Computer

I can't turn my computer on. I knew this day was coming, but I had been hoped it would not be this soon. A new computer is not at all in the budget right now.

I would not be so worried if I didn't run two businesses out of my home, and both kind of rely on me having a computer.

I will try vaccuming it out tomorrow, and if that doesn't work than I will try to get it repaired.

We bought this computer for a very good price just to tide us over until we could afford a macbook. But that was four years ago and I just started saving a month ago for a macbook. :(

Birthday Gift Fail

I had the best plan ever for Eric's birthday on Thursday. It was going to work out perfectly.

I was going to tell him that he is going to be a father.

The way my cycle was working out, I could have tested this morning and then I would have just had to keep the secret all to myself for just ONE day.

It was going to be perfect.

But Aunt Flo don't like perfect. She likes to show up announced and on time, of course, to formally ruin my grand plans.

I know I should be thankful. The naturopathic treatments and my surgery are still working. And I am so thankful for that. It will be another 6 months at least before we can do any more fertility treatments because of the waiting list, so the natural way is my only hope for now. Maybe next month? Pray hard for me k?

Baby Shower Fun

Tonight I was honored to plan/hold a baby shower for my friend Sarah and her son Griffin! It was a lot of fun! We played three games, because both Sarah and I LOVE games! First, everyone got a "necklace" with 10 safety pins on it and they could not say 'baby'. If they did and someone caught them, they would have to give up a safety pin. And if they caught someone else saying baby, they could take a pin from them. The woman with the most pins at the end of the evening won a prize pack (of bath products from Cyan Sea)

The second game was a relay. There was two teams of 4, and each person had to do a task. They were to eat 3 arrowroot cookies and then whistle, eat a jar of baby food, drink 250ml of milk from a bottle and changing a dirty diaper. The team that finished first did not win because we realized that she had gotten "poop" (peanut butter) in the babies mouth! HAHA! The winners each got a lip balm from Cyan Sea.

The third game was Guess The Poop. There was 10 diapers filled with 10 different chocolate bars and everyone had to figure out what kind of bars they were. The winner got 7 correct and won the remainder of the chocolate bars.

There was a great turn out, lots of good food and lots of baby snuggles.

Lost

Well apparently yesterday's post got lost in wifi land. I posted it last night from my ipod, it said it worked, but I guess not!

I am growing tired of this unreliable internet quite quickly! It makes it so hard to run a business and post daily on my blog! I hope it is fixed soon.

I will re write yesterdays post when I get access to a decent connection.

Soccer Tourney

Today we had a soccer tournament. It was my first few games of this year! It was a beautiful sunny day with a nice breeze, perfect for soccer. We lost both games. We had no subs for either game. We actually played two short the last game because one of our players broke an arm and the other got a red card! It was still fun anyways!

In the evening Eric and I got our garden planted. It is kinda late, I know, but at least it is in now! I can't wait to sample the offerings it will produce!

Bonfire!

This was supposed to be posted yesterday, I will add pics when I have working Internet.

Today I had a very productive day at home. I got a lot of cleaning and housework done. It was a beautiful sunny warm day finally.

In the evening we had a bonfire with friends.

I love summer.

Heartland Recheck

Today I had an appointment with Dr K for a 2 moth follow up from my surgery. He looked at my chart and thought it was good. I ovulated a bit late this month but he thought it was normal.

We also signed up for an IUI. We had to pay a 350 program sign up fee. The wait time after we sign up is 6 to 9 months! Thankfully Eric has done some extra work lately, so he has made just enough money to pay for it. God is great! We had no idea before hand that we had to be pay that 350, so we had to decide pretty quickly If we would do it.

Other than the money it was an obvious choice because we want to get the 6 to 9 months over with as soon as possible. It kind of feels like I just paid 350 for nothing.

Eric still needs to have a SA done there, and I need a pelvic exam. We have that booked for July 25th. The SA will be another 250 out of our pocket. I hope all this money is included in the 2500 that and IUI costs, not over and above it.

It feels like a big step to have actually invested in a fertility treatment. I and excited and nervous!

Disco!

We had some friend over this evening for a disco. Not like the dance party, but like the mexican meal that you cook in a special cast iron skillet over the fire. Our friend Neta made all the food. It was amazing. We definitley need to do stuff like this with friends more often!

Sevens

I am not a cat person. I actually kind of hate cats. I do not enjoy working with them.

However, I love my cat. I took him home from work because my other cat had run away. I picked him because he always loved laying upside down when we held him. He is the best cat ever.

He loves to Chihuahuas and always plays with them, even the puppies. He is a good mouser. He is not annoying. He loves being outside. He likes to cuddle. You can do anything to him. He tried to eat my fingers when I am typing. If fact he is trying to do it right now. I have no idea why he does that, it is weird. He still loves to hang upside down.

Even Eric likes him, so that must mean he is a great cat!

Turkey Tuesday, Sort Of

This is kind of a turkey tuesday. But only because it is about my husband, the turkey farmer!

Today (and everyday) I am so thankful to have such an amazing husband. I am blessed to have him as a strong Christian leader in our home. He is honest, patient, kind, compassionate and loyal. Not to mention very handsome. He gives a lot of his free time away to be on the camp board, do youth, and to coach soccer, and he always does it willingly and happily. He never expects a thank you, because he knows it's all for the Kingdom.

He is always supportive of me. He is my voice of reason. He is the strong and steady one. (As opposed to me being crazy and unpredictable)

He tells me I am beautiful everyday, especially when I am not feeling it myself.

Infertility has been hard on him, too. My very greatest wish is that I will be able to make him a father one day(soon), because I know he will be the best!

The Lord has blessed me far more than I deserve.

Fleury/Furla/ Stinky Feets/ Squints McGee/Puke Breath

Fleury got to come to soccer this evening, and then she came to our friends house to watch hockey for the evening. I don't take my dogs to friends places that often, but she is such a great dog. I never have to worry about her peeing/pooping in someone's house, or wrecking anything. She is so gentle and kind, and would never hurt a fly. Ok, she does enjoy beating up the puppies, but she has never and will never bite anyone. We drove all the way to Texas to get her, and she was worth every second of that drive. I have never regretted that trip for even one moment. Even Eric says that he loves her. Everybody loves Fleury and they are always offering to take her off my hands. I would never give her up. Not even for a billion dollars.

This picture depicts the typical Fleury "cringe and squint."

Anniversary Supper

Today we went out for supper in a cute little place in Winnipeg Beach for our anniversary. It is called Casa Bianca and it is Italian/European food. It was amazing! It was such a nice sunny day that we decided to sit outside on the patio. I am so glad we did, it was gorgeous!

After supper we went for a walk down to the beach. There wasn't a whole lot to see, so we didn't stay long...

Puppies For Sale

Only $400!

And yes, Dayna, I am getting tired of them. They are alot of work. They mess inside my house far too often and they are loud. They have their cute moments, but they annoying ones are starting to outweigh the cute ones. There is just too many of them. Trying to housebreak 4 puppies at once is very difficult.

So please, if you know anyone who would like a dog, send them my way.
