Yet Another Beautiful Wedding

This past weekend I was excited to be the maid of honour for my cousin, Mallory. She was the maid of honour in my wedding party so I was glad I could finally return the favour! It was a busy weekend full of wedding activities, but it was a lot of fun. Saturday, the day of the wedding, was actually quite relaxed and laid back, probably due to the organization and planning abilities of my cousin and her family! It was a really great day.

Here is my cuz, another bridesmaid and my with our hair all ready to go!

We took pictures at a really beautiful quarry close to where Mallory lives. I managed to snap a few shots with my camera, I can't wait to see the ones from the photographer!
 My beautiful cousin!
Our adorable cousin was the flower girl.
 Love this shot!
They had TWO wedding cakes! Such a neat idea! And the cakes were delicious. Their wedding was full of personal touches that suited them perfectly. I didn't get enough pictures of everything.
Eric dressed to match me!! :)

37 Weeks

Size of baby: Length of a stalk of Swiss Chard ( 6.3 lbs and 19 inches)
Total Weight Gain: 34 lbs, yikes. But I am not really going to worry about it for the rest of the pregnancy.
Continuing symptoms: Sore feet, frequent bathroom visits, sore hips, braxton hicks, swollen feet and hands.
New symptoms this week: Heartburn is reappearing, but isn't really that bad.

Sleep: Now that I am not working, I sleep in a lot. Probably too much.
Maternity Clothes: Some shirts are getting a bit short
What I'm Eating: Regular diet
Cravings: Nothing specific that I can think of

Movement: Lots of belly shifting, and of course LOTS of movement at night when it is time for mom to fall asleep. I often have to switch sides because that is the only way I can fall asleep.

Other Pregnancy News: FULL TERM! This is an awesome milestone to reach. And with this the realization that our baby could be here any day. It is still so hard to believe, and I know it won't fully sink in until baby gets here. There is no way of me being fully prepared for something so unknown.

Mat leave is pretty awesome. I have been keeping myself pretty busy, but I have also done ALOT of relaxation. I was the maid of honour in my cousins wedding this past weekend. It was a lot of fun, and we were all nervous baby Dueck would decide to come before hand and that I wouldn't be able to be there. But I am glad he or she decided to wait. That wedding was the last event I really had to look forward to, so now I pretty much just wait around for baby to come! I don't think I will be bored for at least a week or two, I have a lot of project ideas that will keep me occupied!

This picture is from my cousins wedding this weekend:

This is how swollen my feet get. Anything that puts pressure on them leaves an indent. So bizarre!!

Maternity Pictures

My wonderful new sister in law Alyssa took a few pictures of Eric and I this weekend. The whole thing took about 15 minutes, and we ended up with some really great shots!

A Beautiful Vintage Inspired Wedding

This past weekend we attended the wedding of Eric's cousin Colton and his beautiful bride Tori. It was a gorgeous wedding and the weather was perfect!

LOVED all of their decor. There was a lot of work and thought that went into it, and it paid off!

Their wedding favors were Jones Soda with personalized labels!

This pond was right behind the tent. It was such a pretty backdrop!

36 Weeks

Size of baby: Crenshaw Melon ( 6 lbs and 18 1/2 inches)
Total Weight Gain: 29 lbs
Continuing symptoms: Sore feet, frequent bathroom visits, sore hips, braxton hicks, swollen feet and hands.
New symptoms this week: Menstrual-like cramping, I have read and heard from a few women that this could be contractions. And it does come in waves, so perhaps this is the real braxton hicks.

Sleep: My back is quite sore after sleeping,  but stretching helps.
Maternity Clothes: I am amazed that everything still fits well!!
What I'm Eating: Regular diet this week
Cravings: Cream cheese and sweet chilli triscuits, chocolate

Movement: I have a very active baby, ESPECIALLY when I want to go to sleep at night. The other night it was kicking so frequently and for such a long time I started to get worried! lol

Other Pregnancy News: Only 4 weeks left until my due date. It seems so crazy close. It is so hard to believe that pretty much any day we could be meeting our baby. I feel so ready and so unprepared all at the same time.

This is my 28 week and 36 week pictures. I can't say that there is a tonne of difference, not as much as I feel anyways! My sister in law took some maternity pics of me yesterday, I will try to post them this week!

Tweed Baby Blanket

This knit blanket is something I have dreamed about making for years. I bought the pattern at least 2 years ago. It turned out perfect. The edging took me an entire week of knitting while I was on holidays. I probably knit for 6-8 hours a day.  The yarn I got from Knit Picks and I absolutely love it. It is so soft and comfy, and I adore the tweed look. I really want to make more of these blankets, in all different colours!
