It has been a while since I wrote a decent update from around here!
Tallet is now 5 months old! He is a happy baby for the most part. He has two teeth, can sit up, sleeps through the night and has started eating solids and LOVES them. So far we have just done rice and oatmeal cereal. I absolutely love being his mommy, and it is getting more and more fun every day! Most of my day is spend around Tallet-centered things. But in my small amount of spare time I have been doing this:
Making diapers. I have made a bunch of testers for people:
I am still waiting on a print fabric order from the US so I can make a bunch more for Tallet! I really enjoy making diapers!
I have started taking another photography course at PrairieView Photography! It is awesome and I am learning SO much more about photography! The driving to the city isn't great, but it isn't forever.
We are working on the table again. The table top is stained and ready to be waxed. The base needs to be assembled, prepped, stained and waxed. I am hoping to get it done this week! I cannot wait to see the finished product sitting in my kitchen!
I have been doing a few
Steeped Tea parties here and there, and it is a lot of fun! I am hoping to do it more seriously in the fall when I am done mat leave.
I am enjoying Weight Watchers, and it seems to be working! I am really itching to start running again. I went out for a run a few days ago, on a day I thought was warm, turns out that the wind was bitterly cold. I had Tallet with me so I turned around pretty quick. I have kind of fallen off the workout wagon while I was pumping, so I am hoping to get back on ASAP!
I pumped for almost two weeks, but now I am back to breastfeeding. We were at a hockey tournament in Gimli for weekend, and we stayed at the hotel, so it was nice not to have to worry about bottles and pumping. It was pain-free for the first little but, but it is starting to hurt again. I am trying a baking soda/olive oil routine hoping that will work.
A few weeks ago I was presented with an exciting business opportunity! In the coming weeks and months we will have talks and try to figure out if it is something that would be worth the time and if I can get a business loan. I would absolutely love to work at home! I cannot say much about it now, but if and when I can, I can't wait to share!
I think that is most of what has been going on around these parts!
