Goals

My ultimate reward was to buy a Lululemon outfit when I reached my goal weight. That is a great goal, but right now it seems far off and unattainable so I decided to break it down in to smaller goals/rewards. I hope they will be more motivating. Here is what I have thought of:

-When I reach a 10 minute mile in running, I will get a new pair of running shoes. I would love the Nike ones with the sensor that works with my iPod touch!
-For every 10lbs closer to my goal, I will get a pair if running socks from Lululemon.
-When I am 20 lbs away from my goal, I will get a pair of Lululemon running pants!
-When I am 10lbs away from my goal, I will get a Lululemon running jacket.
-When I finally get out of the heavy hitters club for good, I will get a new lens for my camera.

When I reach my goal, I will have a big party with everyone over! You are invited! :)

Point Form

Because I said I would post everyday

-I am exhauseted. I need a good long sleep in to catch up.
-My muscles are sore from my head down to my toes. Literally to my toes.
-I have not run for 5 days and it is making me grumpy.
-I have been far too busy for the last two weeks. I just need a few days at home to relax.
-My puppies desperately need new homes.
-I want to go to bed right now, but I have too much to do....

Home!

It is great to be home! We had a long day on the bus today, but we had a fantastic weekend. I had a lot of fun with my girls, and I can't wait to share pictures with you, but I will have to because my internet is out. :(

Cause We're Cool Like That

I am pretty tired today as a result of staying up late laughing hysterically with one of my youth girls/cousin. It was worth it.

Today some sun came out. It was gorgeous. The kids played 'the amazing race' during the afternoon and the weather was perfect for it!

Tomorrow we head home, I can't believe the weekend is over so fast. It went by far quicker than I thought it would. Thanks for your prayers so far, and please continue to pray for a great end to the weekend.

Retreat

This will probably show as posting a day late, but is is only 1120 here.

We have had a pretty good first half of the youth retreat. The weather has not been fantastic and the food is aweful. But the content of the retreat has been God

Weekend Away, again.

Right now I am on a bus with 47 kids and youth leaders on the way to a youth retreat in Saskatchewan.

I went to this same one when I was in youth and it was incredible. I went two years ago and it was a disappointment. So I have no idea what to expect this year.

Please pray that we will have an awesome weekend, and that God will make some positive changes in the lives of these kids. And us leaders too!

Today our farm got brand new baby turkeys. They are so adorable!

I just happened to catch this picture. It is Jose Bautista's 3rd home run of the day, 5th of the weekend and 16th of the season! SO COOL

The Weekend

Here are a couple pictures from the weekend. I am hoping to post some more in the next couple days.

I Splurged

I bought myself the Run: Swiftly Tech SS shirt from Lululemon on the weekend. It is not this color, it is aqua with a grey collar. I LOVE IT. I went for a run today in it, and it is perfect. I am glad I didn't wait longer. My other running shirt is weird material and always wants to ride up. This shirt stays put!

Sweep!

Today was a gorgeous sunny day! We went early to the game to watch batting practice. We go to see quite a bit of it, and got really close.

Eric got a ball from a coach, and later on hot Johnny Mac to sign it.

We were in the shade for the game, but we had really good seats. The wind was cold, so I ran to the car to get a jacket. We sat with another group of Canadians. Jose bautista got 3 home runs today, and I got a picture of him hitting the 3rd one. I didn't plan on catching his homer on camera, I just wanted to take a picture of him batting and it just so happens that he hit a homer when I was taking my pictures! So cool!

Tonight we will be home late. We have been driving since 4 and won't be home until 230 or 3.

I will post pics and more details tomorrow.

Oh, and the Jays won today, sweeping the series. I like watching my boys win in person.

Game 2

And the Jays take game 2 in an awesome 11th inning. The twins really fell apart.

We also went to ikea and the mall of America for some shopping. I had a peanut butter protein shake and it was awesome! Couldn't even taste the protein!

For supper we went to Texas Roadhouse and it was amazing. The steak there is the best. And very affordable!

It wad rainy today, but it should be sunny tomorrow!

We just got back from game one! The blue jays won 2-0!

Tomorrow we are doing some shopping and then going early to the game to catch batting practice!

Off to Minneapolis!

Tonight we are headed to the US. Our destination is Minneapolis to watch the Toronto Blue Jays play the Twins. I love baseball. I can't wait!

I am still pretty ill, however. My stomach is still churning. I really hope that with a good sleep in I will feel better tomorrow!

LOVE THIS!

I saw this on another blog, and I just LOVE this idea! I love how all the kids have their own shelf and reading lights. I love how the beds are part of the design of the house. It would definitely be useful for my 6+ kids! One day...

What A Day

What a wonderful day. I am still sick. In fact, I made Eric sick, too. It is definitely the flu. I have not puked yet, but Eric hasn't been so lucky. I get really tired when I stand or walk around for too long. I have not eaten a whole lot today. I am REALLY hoping I can be normal for tomorrow.

To top it all off, AF showed up today. I have been testing for the last few days, all BFN. And right on schedule, it is CD1. I am quite dissapointed, because from my temperatures it was obvious that I had ovulated, and I was really hopeful. I even thought that maybe I was sick because I was pregnant. Not so lucky.

I am thankful, however, because this is the first time AF has visited naturally in many years. This means that my surgery and naturopathic treatments are working, and that is awesome. We will try again naturally this next cycle, but if it doesn't work we are more than ready to move on to an IUI.

We also inherited a washing machine today. I am very thankful to be able to do laundry at home again. But now I broke out dryer vent hose trying to hook it up properly, so now I am nervous to use the dryer.

Also, I wouldn't mind a few of these T-shirts!

Eric fixed my internet last night, and I am still at home with the flu today (Eric too), so I added some pictures for a few posts below!

Lip Balm!

A few days ago I made some lip balm! It has organic cocoa butter, beeswax from Dahlen's bees, extra virgin olive oil and vitamin e. I am very happy with it. It is ultra moisturizing and smells like chocolate!

Sick!

Well, I am sick today. I pretty much wastes a perfectly beautiful day sleeping on the couch. I think it is some sort of flu. My stomach is pretty upset, I feel weak and dizzy when I stand up and I had a low grade fever. I hope I am going to sleep it off tonight and be fine tomorrow.

Today was mother's day, and I originally wasn't going to go to church. Usually I just wind up feeling left out and alone after a mother's day service. But then I changed my mind and decided to go. And then I wound up sick, so the decision was made for me and I stayed home.

My friend Melissa stopped in, and she had brought me flowers from her and a bunch of other friends. They are potted gerberas and they are so pretty. I will post a picture when my internet is back up and running. I was kinda overwhelmed that they would aknowledge that mothers day is hard for me and bring me a gift. Thanks so much ladies! I love you all!

Melissa also told me that the service was really good, and that they has prayed for me specifically and for others who are struggling to become mothers. At that point we both started crying. :s

Now I am sorry I didn't go to church, but running to the washroom every 10 minutes and spreading this bug would not have been very nice!

An Awesome Wedding!

I just left one of the most fun weddings ever! It was Eric's cousin's, and he was in the wedding party. We had pizza for supper and a dessert bar with a large selection! I even went up on the dance floor, which I haven't done for a while!

So I have a few pictures I would like to post, but my internet is completely out, so I can't. I would post more, but I had a super busy day at work today and I dislike typing on my phone for long periods of time.

Nanny Fleury

Fleury loves the puppies. I can often find her cuddled up on the same bed as the puppies. Also, it is rare to catch her in a picture with her ears up. She is very camera shy!

Today's Run

I was going to post lots, but I really want to try to get to bed earlier tonight. I am trying to catch up on some sleep..

Today my run was 2 minute surges. I did 6 two minute surges with a two minute cool down jog. That took me to 24 minutes, but I still feel great so I ran at a moderate pace until I hit 30 minutes.

I love running. It feels so great. I can't wait to play soccer with my new running stamina!

Looooooooooooooong Day

I worked the election today. It was an interesting experience. I didn't realize how complicated and nitpicky the process is. But I do understand why everything has to be that way.

I got there at 7:30, and didn't get out of there until after 10. It was a very long day. I read a lot of magazines. Eloa and I walked around the gym for 15 minutes to warm up because it was SO cold in there.

And now because my puppies have been cooped up all day, they are going absolutely nuts!

I need some sleep....

Chiffon Cake - Fail

Yesterday I attemped to make a Chiffon cake with almond flour and agave nectar instead of white flour and sugar. All the other ingredients were exactly the same. The batter tasted great. It seemed to rise like it was supposed to.

But it was awful.

After baking it had this weird sour, kind of metallic taste. And I tried to make frosting with margarine, honey and the smallest amount of icing sugar as possible. But that was also awful.

I am totally embarassed, but here is a picture:

I don't have the heart to throw it out, because the ingredients cost too much! And I am not going to even bother posting the recipe.
