More Babies!

We had a very busy holiday season, but it was fun! It started on the 23rd after work/agility classes. We drove out to Matheson Island to be with my parents. Then we drove back the 24th for the Furgala gathering. On the 25 in the morning Eric and I had our own, we went to church, and then spent the rest of the day at Eric's parents. Boxing day we braved the weather to go to Eric's Kroeker gathering in Winnipeg. Sunday was spend mostly relaxing, but we made supper in the evening for Sean & Alyssa and Kelly Ann and Kristinn. The 28th was spend with Terry and Eloa their kids and all the significant others! I couldn't imagine a quiet Christmas, it just isn't right.

Remy was pretty sick over Christmas, which included a trip to the Arborg clinic for supplies/medications on Christmas day. He was not eating/vomiting/etc for a couple days, but he is doing much better now. He is basically back to normal. He just gets stressed really easily! In other dog news, Paris is pregnant! She is due February 3rd. We ultrasounded her today and saw 4 babies for sure, possible 5. I can't wait to have babies running around the house again!

Tomorrow I am going shopping in Wpg with Kelly Ann and Alyssa. I am quite excited about it. I have a couple things to get, but for the most part it will be looking around in places I don't normally go! I guess thats it for an update from me. I am doing another NaBloPoMo in Jan, a little different than before! It shall be interesting!

Me Lazy

So I guess blogging once a day for a month didn't really form any good blogging habits for me. I am still lazy. :S

My bathroom is ALMOST done. We are just waiting for the right type of paint base to come in and we have to buy the trim. But it looks so good already. I am so thankful Terry came over to paint it for us! Eric hates painting, and he would be the first to admit that it would show in the paint job. I LOVE the colours! I am glad Cheryl came over with a huge paint swatch book and helped me pick it out. But I am really anxious to have it all done.

I have started reading "The House That Cleans Itself" hoping it would help me realize why my house is always so messy! I am about 1/3 into it, and so far all I have learnt it that most of the mess is because I am a slob and lazy, that I have too much stuff, that I procratinate, and I forget about things that need to be done. I hope I can get more answers than that, but it really just looks like it boils down to how incredibly lazy I am.

Today was one of the most beautiful winter days EVER. I wish I had some pictures. The horfrost was so think, and it is still here in the evening! It was warm, sunny, sparkly and as the horfrost fell off the trees it felt magical. It actually made me feel like a child, watching in awe and wonder! I am hoping there will be more tomorrow so I can take some pictures.

Bathroom Renos!

We decided to give the our little bathroom a bit of a facelift! It is not finished yet, bit I have the before and during pics right now! I am excited about getting it done! We are doing it cheap. We painted the tub instead of replaceing it. It's $20 compared to $300+! The downside is that it looks painted, BUT anything is better than BILE yellow. And it looks ALOT cleaning. We also replaced all of the shower plumbing, which is AWESOME! Now I can actually have a hot shower instead of a hot to warm then burning then warm then cold shower! The first pictures we had already taken down the hideous homemade lighting fixture. I will try to find a picture of it! Everything is going to be white, except the walls. They will be a sea blue! We are going for a Greek Island look!

UGH! Blogger will not let me switch the pics around, so the between is first and the before is last!

Last Day Of NaBloPoMo

Today is officially the end of my posting once a day! Man did I ever bomb at that! even this post is after midnight!

I am pretty much done all my Christmas shopping! Eric and I went to the city today and finished the rest of it. All I need is a gift for him, but I already know what that will be! I just didn't want to buy it today cause he was there!

I had a Partylite meeting tonight, I got to see the whole new 2010 line! It looks pretty awesome! I am very excited about lots of the pieces! You should book a show from Jan 1-10, hostess benefit is 50%! And I need to business to earn my trip!!

Meet My Animals!

I am sure I have talked about them before, but just for fun, here are my animals!

Fleury is a 3 1/2 year old Chihuahua. Everyone wants Fleury. She is the sweetest dog in the world, she would never hurt a fly! She is gentle and quiet and great with kids. My little cousins often haul her around, and she lets them with no fuss. She is a shy dog, hard to train to do tricks, but she is very loyal. When we left for Europe she missed us so much she didn't eat properly for a while! We drove all the way to Texas for her, and she was worth every penny and minute we spend doing it. Eric has been quoted to say, if every Chihuahua was like Fleury, he wouldn't mind 10 in the house! Her breath smells bad, she she licks her feet all the time. I think she might have allergies!
Remy is a 2 1/2 year old American Kennel Club registered Chihuahua. Nobody likes him but me! He is loud, obnoxious, he looks like a gremlin and he pees on things because he is intact. Nevertheless, he is very sweet, and all he wants is someone to give him love. He is very eager to please. He is very smart and VERY easy to train. He is so tiny, just 4.5 lbs, and he lets you do almost anything to him. He doesn't like kids much, cause my brother teases him. He has the cutest prance when walked on a leash. He would probably be a great show dog! Despite all his flaws, I adore him. He is a heartbreaker! He is from a breeding in Southern Minnesota. He lives with my mom most of the time.
Finnley is a 2 year old Irish Setter. He is FULL of energy and very rambunctious! He loves attention and getting scratched. He can run for miles and not get tired. Bike rides are his favorite. He loves food and will eat almost anything. He destroys stuffed toys in seconds! He is stubborn but very intelligent (true to his breed). He loves people, and is great with kids unless they are small enough for him to knock down. He does not usually like new dogs and will sometimes try to attack them, but he is getting better at that! He hates the Chihuahuas, especially Paris and Remy, so they have to stay seperated all the time. :( I am taking him to agility now and he loves it! We got him from a breeder near Detriot Lakes, Minnesota.
Maeve is a 5 year old Irish Setter that I adopted from work. Her old owner brought her in to put her to sleep because she ran away too much and didn't like her new puppies. Well she is the best dog in the world! She tolerates the Chihuahuas being mean to her and kids tugging on her. She is very smart and easy to train. It took her a long time to build trust with us, because she had bad experiences before she came to live with us. She sometimes shies away from new people, but she is NEVER aggressive, unless she is putting Finn in his place! She had 11 puppies last year and she was a great mom!
Sevens is a 5 month old male tabby cat who I adopted from work. He is the newest addition to our family. He was supposed to be an outside cat, but he has totally stolen my heart and is mostly inside. He does go outside quite often and he loves it. He is a very cuddly cat, and loves to be held like a baby. He likes to lick noses. He and Fleury are best of friends, and play fight all the time. It is so cute to watch them. He is very picky and will only eat his own cat food, and not the dog food, which is actually really nice!
Paris is a 4 1/2 year old Chihuahua and was my wedding gift from Eric. We bought her in Minneapolis on our honeymoon. She is a great dog. She is very smart and easy to train. I am taking her to agility classes and she loves it and is really good at it. She knows lots of different tricks. She is a very sweet, loving and loyal dog. She likes to run through the bush and explore by the church and the school, even though she is not supposed to! Remy is over for a visit now, so hopefully Paris will be having babies in two months! She is a fantastic mother!
Chai is an approximatley 20 year old Quarter horse I rescued from the meat market. He was bought as company for Zaiyah, but has turned out to be a solid riding horse! We had a few issues in the beginning because all he wanted to do is go home, but now he is great! I am so grateful to have gotten him!
Zaiyah is my very first horse! She is almost 7 years old. She is very sweet and she loves people, but it takes her a while to build trust. She went for training in the spring, and was doing really well and I was loving riding her. Then we had one rough ride and I have been scared to get on her ever since. I have taken her on one trail ride since, and she was good towards the end. But I just haven't got the nerve to get back on her without Kathleen around! She is for sale now, because I need another horse I can trust as much as Chai. But then again maybe I should just keep her and ride her in the arena for a while before taking her out again! I really do love her!

Yesterdays Post!

Obviously I cannot handle posting once a day! At least I have been posting much more regularly than usual! I will do two today, even if the second may not interest you.

Yesterday I went to RABA for the first time in a long time. Kelly Ann's tap dancing group was performing there, so we went to watch. Their dance was really good! But socials and dancing are just NOT my thing, so we didn't stay late. During the day I set up a Partylite booth in Gimli at the middle school's craft fair hoping to get my name out there a little bit. I didn't sell anything, but I hope I will be getting some phone calls from there. I would really like to get my business started there. I am trying to earn the Partylite incentive trip, but I have ALOT of work to do to get there! If you can help me by having a party that would help so much!

More Cards!

So I decided to make more Christmas cards today! I made 8, four of each kind in the picture. I love how it is not traditional Christmas colours! I made up the design myself, and I really like the way it turned out. I love stars!
Tomorrow I will be going to the a craft and trade show in Gimli to set up a Partylite booth. I hope that it can finally get my business going there! I need to expand my area!

Cards

Hehe! Forgot to post again last night! Man I am bad at this posting once a day thing! I just don't have anything interesting to post about, really!

Last night Eloa took me to a card making party at Bonnie's! It was fun, and the cards we made are so nice! It motivated me to make my own Christmas cards this year. I have all the supplies, I just have to find the time to do it! I have like 100's of dollars of Stampin' Up stuff, but because one card takes me like an hour, I rarely use it! Here is a picture of them!

Orphan

Forgot to post yesterday! This is my makeup post! Yesterday I went to Curves for the firtst time in over a year! And yes, I was still paying for it *cringe*! Anyways, I am glad I went! I am going again today! I hope I can keep this up.

Last night I watched Orphan. Good movie, you should watch it! Eric and Colton watched it twice in a row, because I got home from small groups and wanted to watch it right after they finished it for the first time, and they agreed!

My Christmas Decor - Sans The Tree

Here are the decorations I put up today! It's not perfect, and the tree is still missing, but it sure make it feel more like Christmas! The last picture is of my living room without flash. I love that kind of light! That alone makes it feel warm and Christmasy!

For Lack Of A Better Post

This blogging every day thing is really getting challenging! I am kind of out of interesting things to blog about!

Today I cleaning my house, hoping to decorate, but that never happened. I was going to do that and post picture of my decorated house! There goes that post idea!

I attempted to shop for high protien foods today, but that is proving QUITE the challenge. I really need to get some protien powder so I can add it to my morning smoothies and stuff! If any one has any good ideas or recipies for meals that have a balanced amount of protien and carbs I would love to know! Tofu is NOT an option however. Ew.

New Plan!

Almost forgot to post today! Not that I have much to say. I am still pretty sick, coughing like crazy, nose running like a faucet, sore throat, kinda feeling dizzy and tired. I am scared I am getting a fever, my temp is slowly going up. Last night it was 96.8 and tonight it was 97.9! I hope it doesn't go up even more!

In other news, I am starting a new health plan. I know I have tried so many things that have failed. But this time around I am going to be relying on God and not just my own strength to get me through. I will be keeping a journal and setting weekly goals for fitness and nutrition. I am also reading Thin Within again. I don't just want to get healthy, I NEED to get healthy!

A Date

Yesterday I attempted to surprise Eric with a romantic getaway to Misty Lake Resort. It did not work so well. He came home about an hour and a half too early. I was planning on packing all of our stuff and dropping off the dogs at my aunties ( I was not sure how I was going to explain where they were to him though) and telling him that we were going to supper, and then once we were there telling him we were actually staying the night. Well, he saw me sneak the bag to the car. So I had to tell him we were going somewhere for night, but I would not tell him. I told him it was someplace in Winnipeg, but we were going to Misty Lake for supper cause we had gift certs for the restaurant there. But when Eric asked me to explain our plans for the next day, I said, eat breakfast, drive to the city..... oops! I could not lie my way out of that one! I had to tell him we were staying there for night! He was still pretty excited nonetheless!

Anyways, Misty Lake is a pretty nice place. We got the room with a huge Jacuzzi tub, king sized bed and a fire place! The also have two outdoor hot tubs, one indoor, and a pool. We only used one of the outdoor hot tubs because the pool was too cold! The food was pretty good in the restaurant, but not the best I have ever had! While we were there, we realized we have only done something like that ONE other time in the 4 and a bit years we have been married! Kinda sad I would say! It was money well spent though!

Today we went to the city and hung out at the forks for a bit. In the afternoon we went to see New Moon. We didn't have to wait in like and we were lucky enough to get there early to get decent seats! It was a pretty good movie. We went to Montana's for supper cause it is my favorite, then home.

Today I am pretty sick, coughing lots, runny nose, sneezing. I really thing my cold was even more aggravated by the H1N1 shot I got on Friday. I didn't want to get it, but I had to because of the turkeys. :(

All You Need Is Love

The other day at College and Career we were having a discussion. I am not sure how it started, but basically we came to the conclusion, all you need is Love. Think about it. If everyone in the world treated everyone else with Love all the time, I believe most of the world's problems would be solved. I challange you to think of a situation that could not be solved by Love? Other than illnesses/accidents of course!

What do you think?

Lights

Thanks everyone who is now following me! Makes me feel more loves! There are some suprises on there though!

Anyways, I don't have time for along post today, because it is almost 1 am! I just got back from the Lights concert in Wpg with a few of my small group girls. The concert was awesome! Lights is very good live! We had a fun time, and our car was safe. Unlike Joel & Gina's! I think it was Gina's car that got broken into and LOTS of stuff stolen including a bunch of cash! Just make me sick! I know what it is like to have your vehicle broken into!

Alright, off to bed now. I am very excited for this weekend, I have some pretty awesome things planned!

Follow Me?

I really have no clue if anyone even reads this blog anymore! I was so sketchy with updating it for a long time there, lots of you probably got bored! Plus my posts are not exactly the most thought inspiring, hence the lack of comments. Anyways, to the point. I have added a "Followers" list to my sidebar! So please go ahead and add your pretty little head to that list! Thanks!

The Weather

I know, it is very cliche to talk about the weather. But how could I not! After cold, wet summer this dry and sunny November is amazing! Every day without snow is like a bonus! I am so thankful for this! I am trying to take advantage of it as much as possible, by riding and walking and doing outside chores. But I get up at sunrise and drive home from work at sundown on the days I work so the last couple days I have not really had a chance to enjoy it! I do try to go for one or two short walking during the day while I am at work, either to the store or to get the mail. I am really hoping for a green Christmas, or at least green right up to it! It will make this winter seem alot shorter! I wouldn't be suprised if it didn't snow at all this winter. Of course, the one year we finally decide to invest in some winter tires!!!

Roger's Video Direct

I have been meaning to post about this for a while, but every time I started I went back to the site to check out the plan, and ended up chaning my plan twice!

Roger's Video Direct is an online movie rental store, and I LOVE it! The movies come straight to your mailbox, and they each come with a prepaid return envelope! You pay a flat rate per month, depending on what plan you choose. You can keep the videos for as long as you want, and there is no late fees. That is why I really wanted to do something like this, because our late fees at D&T's was over $100 once!! We just cannot get the movies back on time! We either forget or don't want to make the extra trip to town. We have for sure saved lots of money doing this!

We started out with a 2 DVD at a time plan, but I found it was too long of a wait between DVDs. Probably a week and a half at the most. And when you are paying monthly, you want to get as many DVDs at a time. On that plan you could get unlimited DVDs per month. So I upgraded to the 3 DVD at a time plan, and that one worked really well. We usually always had a DVD unwatched, or else one was on the way. The most we had to wait was 2-3 days between DVDs. That plan was also unlimited DVDs per month.

Then I was about to blog about it, and when to check out the plans and realized the 4 DVDs at a time plan was the same price as the 3 DVDs, but you could only get 11 DVDs per month. So I checked my sales history and saw that it was only possible to get 7 or 8 DVDs a month with the 3 DVD plan, so I might as well go with the 4 DVD plan! At least it would be even less time between DVDs. And actually I have found we usually have 1 or 2 DVDs sitting around waiting to be watched with that plan! I am very happy with it.

If you want, you can exceed the 11 DVDs a month (in a billing period), but you will pay a bit extra. Also, the DVDs are shipped off a list that you make. You can rank them with the ones you want to see sooner, and they usually ship the highest available title off you list.

You can rent Seasons of TV shows off there, which is what we have done ALOT of! Now we don't have to go and spend the 50 bucks per season but we can still catch up on a lot of shows!

Also, if you indicate online that you have sent a DVD back, they will send you a "refill", which means they will send you another DVD before the recieve the other one! You only get one refill at a time. And if you REALLY want to see a movie, you can rent it for $5 over and above the cost of your plan. And they will send it out to you right away.

I am very happy with them. They have really thought of everything! There is an awesome selection and it will really save you money if you rent alot of movies (or forget to take them back!). They have a two week free trial!

I Forgot Again!

I realize I am totally not doing the blogging once a day thing! Oops! I have just been so busy this weekend!! I worked on Saturday and then had my brothers birthday party. Then he stayed at my place for night. Sunday morning I went out to the island for a Partylite show in the afternoon. It went AWESOME! Eric came out with me and we stayed overnight. We came back today around lunch. I totally forgot about my massage appointment in the morning, which sucks! That is like 25 bucks down the drain! And my shoulder is going to be killing me. That is about it for an update. I am still planning to do the extra posts to make up for the days I missed!

Self Dye

My beautiful blue faded out to this yucky greenish yellow, so I bought some purple dye and did it myself! I love the way it turned out! It doesn't stand out too much, which I love. And now when it fades, I can retouch it myself! It was so easy to do! Probably took me 20-25 minutes!

Flowers for me!

Yesterday was a nice day off. It was gorgeous out, so in the afternoon I went for a ride on Chai, and ran into Kathleen and Madison on the road! They allowed me to ride with them for the remainder of their ride! That is the last bit of riding I will get in until at least Monday! I am so thankful for this nice weather! Being November, I am very grateful for every day we have without snow! It is a gift! I would be glad if we had no snow for Christmas! I have never experience a "green" Christmas that I remember!

Today I had a really rough day. I was just down all day, and for the last couple days actually. I barely got to see Eric let alone talk to him about how I was feeling. Not that I needed to. When I got home from work today supper was basically ready and he had flowers waiting for me on the table! I guess he just knew thats what I needed this week! I LOVE HIM!

Partylite Fundraising! Interested?

To whom it may concern:
Hello! I am very excited to present to you Partylite’s fabulous new Fundraising Program! It is simple, easy to use and profitable. Your organization will receive 35% profit on all sales!

Crafted exclusively of highly refined paraffin, Partylite is focused on creating the highest quality candle possible. Additionally, Partylite wicks are lead-free, ensuring a clean burn and maximum performance. Partylite has been in Canada for 17 years, and is well known for its quality candles and delicious scents.

I have included a sample order form for you to see. There are two types of products available, Mini Barrel Jars and Bestburn Tins. They come in a set of two for $18, which is an incredible value. In our catalog two Mini Barrel jars would cost $25 and Bestburn Tins usually cost $20 for a set of two when available. There is four sets of each available for a total of 8 different sets in our 8 most popular scents to choose from.

This fundraiser is great for organizations and projects big or small. Here are some examples of what your group can do. We will use 10 sets per seller as an average, but there are no limits to what you can achieve!

- 20 Sellers x 10 sets = 200 sets x $18 = $3600 in sales x 35% profit = $1260
- 50 Sellers x 10 sets = 500 sets x $18 = $9000 in sales x 35% profit = $3150
- 100 Sellers x 10 sets =1000 sets x $18 = $18,000 in sales x 35% profit = $6300
- 150 Sellers x 10 sets = 1500 sets x $18 = $27,000 in sales x 35% profit = $9450
- 200 Sellers x 10 sets = 2000 sets x $18 = $36,000 in sales x 35% profit = $12,600

As an incentive to your sellers, once your organization reaches sales of 300 sets, I will give an 8GB Ipod Nano to the highest seller. If you reach 600 sets, I will also offer an 8GB Ipod Touch to the highest seller and an 8GB Ipod Nano to the second highest seller. Reach 1500 sets I will give the highest seller a choice of a Nintendo Wii, 8GB Ipod Touch or the 8GB Ipod Nano, with the second and third highest sellers getting the remaining prizes!

Each order form has room for 14 customers. I would recommend at least 2 order forms per seller + 50. Orders can be shipped directly to each individual seller, who then can deliver the products to their customers. Please contact me if you have any questions and to schedule your fundraiser! Now is the time to start, as these sets make great Christmas gifts!
Thanks!

Fundraising?

I realize I forgot to post on Sunday. And yesterdays was kinda cheap. So I will do two today! Or tomorrow.

Sunday was mostly spent with family, eating, walking in the bush, knitting, hanging out. Monday I went to see Cam speak in the high school. Then I had a bunch of business stuff to do in town and a Partylite order to unpack. Also I had to drop some stuff off in Arborg and work for an hour to train the new girls in the Arborg clinic. Then I was off to the city for a Partylite meeting in the nicest neighboorhood in Winnipeg. That is where the picture of the house is from. I know it was hard to see, but that is the house of the first Partylite consultant in Winnipeg. SO BIG and so gorgeous inside! I had a really good meeting, got lots of good idea. Learnt LOTS about our new fundraising program. It is actually quite awesome! The group gets 35% of sales, and it is a very simple and streamlined program. If you know anyone that needs to do some fundraising, let me know! The product that is sold is actually cheaper than in the catalog! It really is a great deal!

Galloping

This morning I work up at the Brandt's house. We had a really fun small groups sleep over, but I am sad Megan couldn't make it. We had a tonne of amazing food, because Luella is an amazing cook! My tire was flat again. Stan changed it for me cause I am pathetic. I left at around 12:30.

At home I fed the horses and started brushing Chai for a ride while he ate. But then Zaiyah came up and was staring at me cause she wanted to be brushed too. She is so much easier to brush that Chai. Her coat is silky and smooth and easy to get the dirt out. Chai's is long, curly, dry and discoloured and the dirt gets stuck right in there and it is hard to get it out. They are both starting to grow their fuzzy winter coats, but I think I need to get Chai checked for Cushings. He does had a few patches of soft fuzzy hair that he didn't have before, so I have hope that with the vitamins and good food and deworming he is getting his coat will shed out in the spring to reveal a nice one!

I took Chai on the ride, but I really wanted to take Zaiyah. I am considering finding some boards around the farm and finishing off my arena this weekend so I can finally ride in it and get back on Zaiyah. It was quite the interesting ride! Kathleen's horse Pizzaz got spooked after he let out a huge fart and she got tossed off. Pizzaz turned around and started galloping home. Both Jared and my horses also turned around galloping behind Pizzaz. I could not get Chai to stop for a long time. Jared was far ahead of me and he caught Pizzaz and walked him back to Kathleen. Thank God she was ok!

When I got home Eric and I took the Irish Setters for a walk. They pull SO much! But it was great for them to do something different and get some exercise. And of course it was good for us too! We are trying to go for more walks and exercise more. I really need to get healthy already!

Lamo

Ok, this is going to be a lame post cause I don't have much time today!

Today had an interesting mix of events. I went to a funeral, a pig butchering, a Partylite show and now I am off to a small groups sleep over. It is a busy day. I am so glad I only work three days a week. The two extra days I have up fill up so fast. I feel like my head is all over the place. Gotta go before the sorbet melts in the car!

Donut Driving

We just got our tire fixed 3 days ago. Today Eric came to work with me in the morning cause we were going to the city at 12. It was really nice to have him there, he helped me with lots of stuff. He even got to watch a spay! We had a really busy morning, and I didn't get all the stuff done I wanted to.

Our tire was low when we got to the city, so we went to super lube where they gave us a paper while waiting and filled up our tires for free. So really, the paid us to fill our tires! Hehe.

About 2 hours the tire was flat again, so we put our spare on. Now we have to drive 80 all the way home and it sucks. But as the always look on the bright side Eric says, at least we don't have to get stuck behind sickeningly slow drivers, because we are them!

A Wednesday.

Today was a very busy day. We had a bunch of surgeries today, which included a cystotomy, a femoral head ostectomy and lumpectomy. For the cystotomy, we opened up the bladder and cut out a funny looking tumor from a dog. The femoral head ostectomy is where you cut off the head of the femur and a bit of the end of it. In this case, the femur was broken high up to the pelvis so we just removed the broken part. It sounds barbaric, but it actually heals quite well and the dog goes on to have a relativly normal life. A lumpectomy is a lump removal, we took two off a Lab today. I also had to do a dental cleaning on a cat. Sugeries were not done till 2, and I quickly inhaled my lunch somewhere in between. I actually remained quite relaxed though, despite all the busyness!

After work I took Paris to her first Novice agility class. She is doing quite well! I am excited to be taking her again. She is so good at it and she loves it!

Then we had youth, which was lots of fun! I love youth, the kids are awesome. Then I went over to Kelly Ann's and we finished watching America's Next Top Model together seeing as how I deserted her yesterday for 90210. Tomorrow I am going to the city, hopefully Eric is coming with me and we can make some sort of date out of it! :)

16 Minutes

Paris' Agility Classes
I have 16 minutes to blog today! Oops! I have been a slack blogger in the last couple months. To be honest I have another blog I have been focusing on. Maybe I will share it with you one day! But not today.

Today was day 2 of Finn's agility classes, and he was awesome. He stayed focused on me the whole time! And he didn't try to start a fight! I really think it was because we worked with him at home this week. We just need to keep it up. There is a good dog somewhere inside of him!

I started knitting socks today. I have about a 1/4 inch done. I was working in mittens but I borrowed some of the needles I need for those to Kathleen, and Eloa bought me this awesome sock yarn I am excited to try! I love knitting. I love knitting more than just a garter stitch scarf!
Here are the three sizes of mittens I have made. They are Children's small, medium and large:

!

I really love Daylight Savings Time in the Fall. It is so nice to feel like you got an extra hour of sleep and wake up and feel refreshed! This morning Eloa called and informed me she was coming over to help me out with stuff around the house. So I had to swallow my pride and accept her offer because let's face it, my house is disgusting. It was really nice to have her help, she kept me motivated to keep cleaning. Lately I have been having alot of trouble getting motivated to clean my house. I just don't know where to start. And when I finally get around to cleaning something, it seems it is a mess again 15 seconds later! I keep saying a need a week off to clean my house, but I most likely use none of that time for cleaning!

In other news, I have added a few more blogs to my list, check them out!

Saturday our youth group put on a Fall Family Fun Festival, and it turned out really well! Alot of people showed up and I was blown away by the donations for silent auction and candy that we recieved. It was definately a success, we even ended up making some money from it. It seemed like people really enjoyed it. We have cotton candy, caramel apples, popcorn and other food, about 15 penny carnival type games, pumpkin carving contest and a few other things!

Also, I am pretty sure I don't know how to use a "."! I just had to go back in the last couple paragraphs and replace a bunch of "!" with "." because let's be honest. I am not that excited or suprised all the time.

I LOVE Fall!

It's been a while. I really just haven't taken the time to sit down and write for a while. Today is a gorgeous fall day. I have spent most of it outside! I used scrap around our yard to build a agility course for my dogs. It is perfect for the Chihuahuas, but the Irish Setters don't even realize half the obstacles are there because they are so small! I love doing agility. I am hoping to build REAL stuff sometime soon so they all can learn properly! Fleury suprised me today. I didn't think she would be able to do anything, cause she is really hard to train. But she caught on very quickly and she is loving it! I worked with them for over an hour today. I am going to be sad when winter comes and I can't do it anymore. I am hoping we might be able to use the barn in the winter!

I also got a new kitten, Sevens, because Spitfire took off. I haven't seen him for over a month. :(
I haven't ridden since the trail ride, mostly becase we got almost TWO FEET of snow! It is mostly all gone now. Just a pile left from when Eric plowed the driveway.

This past weekend we were in the city because I had two conferences. Kelly Ann came with us cause we are parenting her while the real ones are in the East Coast. The first night we stayed at the Kroeker grandparent's GORGEOUS new house. I love it. I want it. Saturday morning I had an awesome Partylite conference and the rest of the weekend I had Manitoba Animal Health Technologists Associasion conference. It was also great. I got to hang out with my friends from college and catch up. That was probably the best part! We stayed at the Club Regent hotel for that night. The pool there is pretty lame, it is like in a tiny corner room. We rented a movie in the room, The Proposal, and ate tonnes of junk that Eric bought during the day. Sunday after my conference we had a delish Thanksgiving meal with Sean and Alyssa at Montanas and then headed home for a youth meeting. We were 5 minutes late and it was at our own house!! OOPS! And everyone was there already. What are the odds everyone shows up on time when we are late! Hehe.

I guess I should go haul water to the horses. I really wish our hose could be fixed soon!

Spruce Woods Trail Ride

This past weekend I had the priveledge of joining Kathleen and a few other ladies in Spruce Woods for some trail riding. I took my older horse, Chai. It was a great time! The weather wasn't the best, but the riding was awesome. It is such a beautiful place! We met 3 older men there that had been riding there for years, and they were gracious enough to show us around. We would have missed out on some really nice trails if it wasn't for them!! I also heard some pretty interesting stories around the fire there!!! Spruce Woods has a really nice Equestrian Campground. It was only 18 bucks for an electrical site and a nice paddock for the horses! I definately would like to go there again. And I know Eric would love to join me!

Your So Busy. Busy, Busy

My life has honestly been more than crazy lately. I though working part time would help, but my mondays and and fridays get full. Here is an example of last week
Mon & Tues : Driving home from Chicago
Wednesday: work during the day, Paris had agility classes 6-7, auntie has a Everyday Style show which I attended for 15 minutes, then I had a youth meeting
Thursday: work, Partylite show, Andrew's birthday party
Friday: take car into the city for a much needed maintance and cleaning, it had to stay all day and luckily it was done by the end of the day.
and now this week:
Sat (today): Free Comeback Kid concert at the forks, it is Skate for Cancer. I am seriously considering skipping this cause I just want to be at home.
Sunday: Youth meeting
Monday: Massage appointment and Partylite show
Tuesday: work, TV night with Kelly Ann!! YAY, I have missed the last two because I have been so busy!
Wednesday: work, agility classes, first youth of the year
Thursday: work, partylite starter show
Friday: NOTHING PLANNED!!
Sat: Hair appt. and BCBC reunion.

I am pretty happy for Friday, but I know that I will be cleaning in all that time. That is what I am doing today. My house has suffered greatly in all this busyness. It was so clean.....

Clearly Contacts

Last week I ordered contacts for Eric and I, from Clearly Contacts. I got the presciption over the phone, and I messed it up. I ordered Eric -2.50 instead of -2.75 for one eye. I meant to call and change it, but completely forgot. On Friday just before I left for the youth camping trip, I got a call from Clearly Contacts, to confirm my order! That's when I asked if I could change my order and they let me! I am so impressed with their customer service! Since when do you order something online and they call to confirm it? I think that is awesome, because if they didn't, it would have been much more of a hassle for me to get them exchanged.

Also, I placed my order on Thursday, and received it the following Wednesday! They included a contact case and a pair of sunglasses that Eric likes! Not to mention this was all for 1/2 the price that it costs at the eye doctor! They have a large selection of contacts, they carry glasses starting at $38 and they are Canadian! I will be shopping from Clearly Contacts again!

I Like Home

Ever since I have been home from the road trip, it has been go, go, go. I have had a few Partylite shows because I am trying to get that started up again. There is so many other little things to do as well, I feel like I have barely been home. I have snuck a few hours here and there in the evenings, but not much. I just miss my home. Not to mention it is a total disaster. Far from the clean organized space I was SO CLOSE to having before we left on the trip. Oh, how things can go downhill so quickly.

I have started working at the vet clinic 3 days a week again. I am really enjoying it so far. Last week I helped save a 3 lbs Chihuahua from the brink of death. I managed to get a catheter into his tiny dehydrated veins on the first shot! It was so rewarding to watch him go from cold and lifeless to bouncing around and playing! That's why I do what I do. I am excited to only be working 3 days a week, that will give me more time to focus on Partylite, to care for my animals, and to be a decent housewife. I am actually excited for the fall to come so I can finally have some structure to my life. This summer was good, but it was crazy busy! I just want to feel boredom again! I want to have time to sew! I just need a baby and then I can stay home full time! How awesome would that be?

Shaking

Right now I am shaking... I just had a terribly rough evening.

My horse Zaiyah just got back from training. The first ride with her went OK, the second was great, the third was rough, and the fourth (tonight) was horrendous. There was so many bugs and lawn mowers and people and shot guns that I got bucked off. It didn't hurt. She was just SO jumpy. And could barely get back on. I bawled once I reached my yard, still on the horse.

Then I decided to take the dogs for a bike ride, and Maeve generally does not go on a leash. Most people have the decency to slow down and go in the other lane. NOT THESE PEOPLE. It was some silver impala or something, and they sped right up to us while i was frantically try to move my bike to the side of the road. Kinda hard when the dog won't move over. Then Maeve jumped out onto the road in front of them, and just as I was about to jump out to save her ( or possible cause them to hit me as well, so they could be charged with murder), they slammed on their brakes. I am determined to find out who they are. They nearly killed one of the more gentle, kind and sweet dogs I have ever met. I am just so angry right now. Not to mention it was dusk. I bawled all the way home.

Thanks to my gracious God that everyone is still in one piece.

That makes it three times sobbing today. Three. Probably the first three all summer.

Road Trip Days 13 and 14

After our amazing free breakfast we packed up and hit the road. We kept seeing signs for Wisconsin Dells and waterparks so we decided to check it out. It turns out Wisconsin Dells is the waterpark capital of the world! I was so pumped. I love water parks! The town was unreal, every hotel had a huge waterpark!

Because it was already 2, we decided to come back to a waterpark when we go to Chicago in a couple weeks. We did do to the Pirates Cove, which had 5 different mini golf courses. It was so fun! We paid for one course and got the second for half price. They were both really good and challenging! I love mini golf. And I actually won one game!

We continued driving to Albertville, but there was no place to stay there for cheap so we found a place a couple miles away. We order pizza again, for and even better deal and went to bed.

In the morning we went to the Albertville outlet mall and had a pretty unproductive shopping experience. Until we got to the kitchen store, which was awesome. We bought the best popcorn maker ever. You should come over and try it sometime! We stopped in Fargo for more shopping but I couldn't find what I wanted anywhere, so I left disgruntled and disappointed.

Right now we are in Winnipeg and I cannot wait to get home. Our car stinks so bad. We are thinking something has died in here.

Road Trip Day 12

We got up fairly early Friday morning, we had already packed up the car quite a bit the night before. We finished packing up and said our goodbyes to families and hello to the pavement once again. It was a pretty uneventful day. We drove longer than planned, we made it just past Chicago.

It was raining. So we decided against camping. We started looking for a hotel. The first place we stopped was 65 for two double beds. Too expensive. The second place was crappy little motel but we decided to give it a chance cause we hadn't seen a lot of places. It was 45 bucks a night, with a whirlpool tub. Warning #1 : guy in front of you walks out with a stack of adult videos. Warning #2: the guy asks you if you want 4 hours or overnight. Warning #3: when we ask him if the sheets are clean he replies 'as far as I know' instead of a hearty 'yes, of course:' YIKES. Even for that cheap, the place was too sketchy for us.

The third place was 45 as well, family run, old but clean, but full! We thought we would never find a place. It was then we caught sight of the Comfort Inn, shining like a beacon in the cold, black night. I thought for sure it would be 100+. Way too much for us.

I knew when Eric came out grinning it was good. It was 65 for a king sized bed and they had a pool and a hot tub and breakfast! Yay! A little over the 50 we wanted to spend, but so worth it.

We had the whole pool to ourselves for over an hour! We ordered Papa Johns pizza, which was awesome and cheap! Breakfast in the morning was awesome! They had a waffle maker! So instead of heating up a packaged waffle, you could have a fresh one! Mmmmmm!

Road Trip Days 10 and 11

Wednesday morning we slept in and it was awesome! Eric stayed home and I went shopping with my mom, Auntie Margie and cousin Shaelynn. I bought a bunch of food for cheap. We went back to Margie's place and Mom, Robert, Korey, Waylon, Eric and I headed to the Rogers Center for a Jays game. We got really good seats for cheap. They were playingn the Boston Red Sox and they lost.

Thursday I went shopping again with my mom and Margie. I found lots of cheap nice clothes at Giant Tiger! And I got two pairs of jeans for cheap at Zellers. We hung out at Margie's for a while in the afternoon.

Eric, Robert and I went to Wimpy's and got burgers. They were HUGE! I got a junior burger and it was bigger than a regular sized burger! Then the three of us went to another Jays game. The lost again! But I still had fun! I LOVE going to baseball games! Our seats weren't quite as good but they were a bit cheaper than the first ones.

Road Trip Day 8 and 9

Monday morning we got up semi-early and drove out to Niagara Falls with my mom, step dad and brother. We parked at the Falls and watched them for a while. They are unreal! The water is so blue! I was suprised at that. But even though they are so touristy it doesn't take away from their immense beauty! I can't imagine being the first person to stumble upon that!

Then we got a hotel right near Clifton Hill, which is like a mini Disneyworld! It is pretty touristy, very flashy and gimmicky. We dropped our bags off at the hotel and dropped my family off at Marine Land.

Eric and I drove to Buffalo, NY to see Body Worlds, an exhibit of plastinated human bodies. It was pretty cool to see all the anatomy, and the effects of smoking and tumors and stuff. They also had babies, from 5 weeks to 32 weeks. It was kinda hard to believe they were real. Did you know that at 9 weeks old a fetus has fingers and toes and a perfect little face! And it is only one inch long! It is so detailed yet so tiny! Our God is an amazing God!

It only takes like 20 minutes to get to Buffalo from Niagara Falls, so we were back much earlier than we expected. We bought this Clifton Hill value pass and went mini golfing. Then we went to Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum, which was suprisingly good! Then it was time to go pick up the family, but we took too long so they took a taxi. Then we went to eat at TGI Fridays. After that we went swimming with my bro and then back to Clifton Hill to use up the rest of the stuff on our passes.

We went to the cheesy Hollywood wax museum, only because it was included! We also went on a ghosh blasters dark ride, a special FX movie ride and spend 5 tokens each at the Midway, only to win 2 parachute men, hehehe.

The last thing we did was go on a huge Ferris wheel that was supposed to have a good view of the falls. I am sure it did, but it was too dark to see them and they had already shut all the spotlights on them off! ARGH!

We had a beautiful air conditioned sleep and had a huge complimentary breakfast at the hotel. We got a value pass for Niagara Falls and went to the 4D movie Niagara's Fury, Journey Behind the Falls which was awesome and on a Maid of the Mist boat ride which was the best! I can't believe how close to the falls that boat goes! It wa incredible and totally worth the money and the lineups. We got soaked which was nice because it was sweltering hot.

We stopped at the Hershey store which was a disappointment, but I did buy amazing peanut butter fudge there! Then it was back to T.O, but not before a stop at Ikea! I love that store, I could buy it out! I got a hanging lamp for 4 bucks and a stand up lamp to match for 17! My family did not find it that exciting unfortunately!

Road Trip Days 5 to 7

My second day of conference was also pretty great. I won about 300 worth of stuff that day! We had a break in the afternoon and Eric and I explored the city a bit. Then he came with me to the awards gala. It was pretty fancy. I think he had fun though. Then at night, we walked the walls to Chateau Frontenac . No tourists. It was beautiful! It is crazy got there!

Saturday I finished off my conference on a boring note, but it was over at 12. Eric and I had poutine for lunch, real poutine with squeaky cheese curds. Need I say more? We explored the city for a while and went to the civilization museum, and it was disappointing. Frommers sucks. It is not made for people like us.

We walked around for a bit after that, but I was starting to feel really sick, which I think was heatstroke. So we bought a gigantic bottle of water and I slept and felt better. Then we went to Cirque du Soliel for free, and it was unreal! It was so good. It was underneath some bridges near the old city! Then we went back to the hostel and slept.

Sunday we got up early, packed up and drove to Toronto. It was a pretty uneventful day. We got to my family's in Toronto at 6 and the didn't get back until 1130! We had keys to get in though. It is SO hot here!

Road Trip Day 4

Well, it is not really a road trip since we are in Quebec city for a few days. Today was the start of my PartyLite conference.

I got up bright and early and donned my business attire and took the short 5 minute walk to the conference center. I was so lucky to find a place for so cheap so close! The conference is insane! Everyone is so pumped. They have music blaring and everyone is dancing and cheering for like 15 minutes. The speakers are pretty good, and I am excited to learn even more about how to run my business!

We had lunch provided for us, which was a delicious traditional Quebecois meal! We had maple ham, maple pork and beans, scrambled eggs, roasted potatoe cubes, meat pies, crepes with real maple syrup, plus maple sugar pie for dessert!

I already have a bunch of free stuff and I will be getting even more here and more waiting for me at home! I can't wait to share all the new stuff with people!

Eric and I had supper at a nice place along Grand Allee. It was awesome. We started with a delicious mixed green salad with balsamic vinegar and herb dressing. I had ribs and Eric had steak, both awesome.

Then I had to go to more conference and Eric got to go to cirque du soleil for FREE! I think we might go tonight. I did win a 145 dollar piece of product!

At night we walked around for a while, watched some drunk people scream at each other! I love how warm it is at night here!

Fireworks at Montmorecy

Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone on the MTS High Speed Mobility Network

Road Trip Day 3

We had a bit of a sleep in this morning, because we didn't have far to go. Fitzroy Provincial Park was really nice. A basic site cost 31.75 though!

Then we went to Ottawa and saw the Parliment building. It was very nice. We didn't go on a tour of the inside because we would have had to wait 2 hours, they were free though!

Just out side of Ottawa we stopped at Stanley's Old Maple Lane Farm, which the signs led us to believe was a maple syrup farm. Turns out it was place for wedding receptions. Argh! We even had to take a detour to get there! 20 minutes wasted.

Then it was off to Montreal, where we got stuck in traffic for over an hour! Brutal. I don't even want to go back there!

We arrived in Quebec City at around 7. It is so beautiful! Our hostel is inside the walls of the old city! It is awesome! When we went to go get our bags we met a man from Toronto that gave us tonnes of advice and where to go and what's free! Cirque de Soliel is free tomorrow night! Saves us 200!! It is outside too. It is so warm here! Like 32 today.

We just saw the best fireworks show ever at Montmorecy Falls just outside of the city. It was actually a fireworks competition! Wow! Now it if back to the hostel and off to bed! Partylite conference starts tomorrow!

Road Trip Day 2

We got up really early, 6 am our time, 7 Ontario time, packed up and hit the road. It was great to get on the road early. Our power outlet was not working so we stopped in Wawa at Canadian Tire to get it fixed. It was important because we are camping, and there would be no way to charge our iPod, BlackBerry, camera, or Nintendo DS. Which of course are all essential parts of a 5000+ km road trip!

Close to Wawa we stopped at Scenic High Falls, which I am pretty sure was man made. It could change flow suddenly because the water level is controlled by a hydro dam. It was still pretty nice!

We had a pretty uneventful day other than that. We had lunch at Taco Bell, stopped at walmart to buy sandals but they had NOTHING dressy, flat and easy to put on in my size! Argh!

I completely forgot about two things that happened yesterday!! We went to the longest suspension bridge in Canada, but we didn't go on it because it was bucks each! We really didn't want to cough up 40 bucks for a 20 minute walk over a bridge. Not when we are on a budget anyway. We like free stuff. Plus it was kinda out of the way, and it got our call covered in bright red dirt. So aggravating!

We also picked up a hitchhiker. His name was Nick and he was about our age. He was pretty cool. I think he was from Minnitaki, which is close to Dryden. We didn't take him very far because he was looking for 3 girls who are walking to Ottawa from Selkirk to raise awarness for single Aboriginal mothers on welfare. An elder had a vision that these three girls would get help from a young man and an older lady, and Nick and his grandma were those people! So he wanted to meet up with them again to try to help them out some more. It turns out we had already passed those girls before we picked him up, so we dropped him off near a river where he wanted to camp. It was awesome!

We also stopped at a chip truck where we got a delicious and gigantic order of fries that only cost is 6. We both couldn't finish them! We just stopped at Tim Horton's and are planning to camp at a provincial park just outside of Ottawa. That will be in about two hours. Our total km's so far is 2200. We still have another 200 to go today!

Road Trip Day 1

We spent our first night at Andrew's camper at falcon lake, showered and hit the road by 9.

We bought some groceries in dryden and had some sandwhiches for lunch. We made our first sightseeing stop at Kakabeka Falls! It was gorgeous! A few minutes later we went to the Terry Fox Scenic Lookout. It had a beautiful view of Lake Superior. We are taking highway 17, which takes longer but has more stuff to see. It is cool to see glimpses of Lake Superior as we drive, it is so big and majestic!

We stopped at Terrace Bay to see a cool waterfall and gorge. For night we went to White Lake Provincial Park and set up our tent. We picked a really uneven site and it was not the greatest sleep. It was like sleeping on the side of a hill. It was really close to the bathroom though! So far we have driven just over 1200 km's!

I love having my BlackBerry! That means I can Blog while we drive and kill some time! I love road trips! :)

Midway Bible Camp

Right now I am driving in Ontario, heading for Quebec city! Well, I am not physically driving! But I am getting bored!

Midway Bible Camp was definately an interesting experience! The camp is in a beautiful location, and has it's own lake, filled with fish! The camp is older and pretty run down, because they don't actually own the place. They are borrowing it from a mining company and it can be taken away from them with as little of two months notice! Hence why pumping money into renos is not worth it. They have some pretty nice log cabins though.
There is no indoor toilets, only outhouses. They have no hydro, they get all their energy from a diesel generator. They have a shower house with pretty nice showers. All the cooking is done by propane.

It was a good week. I was helping out in the kitchen, which was actually not that much work. I really enjoyed watching our youth interact with the campers! They did an awesome job. The midway staff was awesome. They were really good to us and they have a passion for that ministry.

It was VERY different than BCBC. MBC was run very randomly, and you weren't really sure what was going on half of the time. Which is kind of how it has to be! They are also never sure of how many kids will come each week. Sometimes 20 will be registered and 60 will show up. Or the other way around.

We had ages 6 to 11. Most of them were 6 to 8. They were so cute and so sweet. They loved attention and loved you back so much if you showed them love. For the most part! However, sometimes getting them to listen, pay attention and follow a schedule was a very difficult task. They had tonnes of energy! Often it took them 10 to 15 minutes to line up for meals, skills, and to get to chapel. Because I was I the kitchen, I didn't get to bond with them as much as I would have liked! I did get to go fishing with Andrew and a bunch of kids! They having fishing as a skill! And boats to use to go out to the good spots! I caught a fish!! It was so fun!

Pisew Falls

Dahlen, Kristinn, Nathan and I decided to make a little pit stop on the way up to midway bible camp! We stopped at Pisew Falls, just south of Thompson. It was breathtakingly gorgeous! I could watch the falls forever. They are so powerful! It gives us a tiny little glimpse of God's power! And to think, these falls are puny compared to many others in the world. The biggest I have seen so far though!

The Shirt Dress

OK. I admit. I stole this idea. From Jobina. She made a very cute dress for her daugter from a Men's shirt. So I wanted to try it to. However I did modify it quite a bit. For one I didn't follow a pattern. I looked at a bunch of different ones, but nothing was exactly what I was thinking of. So I just made it up. It is not perfect, but I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

It is for my cousin Jen's baby girl, Charlee. Originally, I had planned to use the buttons for the back of the dress, but it looked better to have it as the front. The buttons by the straps were a last minute detail, luckily I had two left over from this same shirt! And I cheated a bit, this was a Women's shirt!

This picture was taking in my car, so sorry it sucks. I hope to get one soon of her wearing it!

More Riding!

Lately I have been doing tonnes of riding, and I LOVE IT! I have gone 5 times in the last 7 days! Sometimes I ride both my horses, but sometimes someone else does! My cousin Jen came with me twice, and that was lots of fun. She lives far away, but I hope she wants to go riding every time she come out! Eric also came with me once! I am so pumped he likes riding! I am hoping he will grow to love it as much as I do! :) Today is a very rainy day, not exactly ideal for riding in.

It is too bad that it has been raining so much this summer, everything is just so saturated with water that when is rains it basically floods! I was up at camp last night and they said that last night was the first time they had seen sun all week! On Thursday! ARGH! I am really holding out for a nice, long, warm fall!!

Camp

Last week I have the priveledge of serving at Beaver Creek Bible Camp! I was hoping to be support staff, as I never have been for a full week at camp. But I was a counselor! I definatley was not pumped, but I knew going in I had to serve where I was most needed. It was a pretty good week. I have a very well behaved cabin with no problems, which I am very thankful for. God definately gave each counselor the right cabin! My cabin unity was great, everyone got along. We won cabin of the day 3 times! And it would have been 4 if we would have done something creative the first day! The last day we got 100%! The kids were so pumped. I saw God work in big ways that week. I wish I would have more time this summer to go back. I love all the staff there, the directors are awesome and both sets have an awesome passion for camp and for the kids AND staff that are there! I wish I had pictures to show you, but I didn't take any....:(

Marriage

I have been to quite a few wedding in the last month! Four to be exact. And they just get me thinking. I love weddings. I love getting to know the couple even more. I love how everyone's weddings have matched their personal style.

But even more I love marriage. I like to see people take that step and make the commitment to eachother. Marriage is just so important to me. I think it is a big deal. God thinks it is a big deal. Marriage is forever.

It makes me sad how trivial marriage has become recently. It seems like people don't take it seriously any more. I can't stand hearing people say " I don't need a piece of paper to prove I love you" . Well for one thing, if that's all you think marriage is than you probably shouldn't be getting married anyways. Marriage is NOT just a piece a paper. It is a commitment to your signifigant other. It is publicly promising to love them through the good times and the bad. Especially the bad. It is a commitment made before God.

So when people say that they don't need a piece of paper to prove they love someone, what they are truely saying is that they don't want to commit to that person for life. That they want an easy out. That they want to be able to drop the relationship as fast as possible when times get tough. That they are basing their relationship on feelings, not on true, unconditional love. That's what I read between the lines.

More significantly, people are not taking marriage seriously anymore. Hence the stat that about half of marriages end in divorce. Celebrities are the worst. They seem to get married just for show, not caring about the vows they are making. Sometimes I have hope of a famous marriage lasting, and even those people have gotten divorced. Do you not realize that you promised that person that you would love them, for good times and for bad, forever? Do promises mean nothing? IS NOTHING SACRED ANYMORE? What is the point of making them then?

I really believe including God in your marriage is THE best way to have a truely happy marriage. I believe if you put God first, and lean on Him in the good times and the bad, He will greatly bless your marriage. I have not been married for long nor do I consider myself a marriage expert, but I do know that the closer I get to God, the better my marriage gets. I do realize the promise I have made to my husband, and I have no intention of breaking it, ever.

Riding

I love riding! Lately I have been doing alot of it, more than ever in fact! I have ridden my new horse, Chai, out of the fence four times! Which is big for me, never having done that alone before! The first time we just went past the apartments and back. He was great. The second time was in town, with Kathleen. That was so fun! I can't believe I even did that! The third we went into a field. It was a good ride. For the first little bit he didn't want to leave home, so that was kinda frustrating. But once we got into the field there were no bugs, and he was great, so we rode for a long time! I even cantered on the way home! First time EVER doing that for so long!! The fourth time was yesterday, when I rode him to Kathleen's. I was almost in tears for the first couple minutes. He would take two steps forward, and like ten steps back. All he wanted to do was go home. It was so frustrating. Finally I slowly got him moving forward again, and once we were past the church, he was fine! He tried his backing up again once or twice down the farm road, but I was able to get him going quicker this time.

My other horse, Zaiyah, is over at Kathleen's for some training. Today we were going to go out riding together. But then this lovely thunderstorm rolled in. So dissapointing. :(

Representing Canada, Sean Dueck and Canadian Club

Haha, I found this gem when looking through our Europe pics. It was taken in a grocery store on Santorini in Greece! I wish you could hear the music he was dancing to...

Jeans

Do you ever think about jeans? Like, why can you pair them with anything, any color, any pattern and they will match? For one thing, they are blue, not exactly a neutral color. Black, white, beige and brown can usually match to anything, but blue? Seriously, it doesn't make sense. I could never wear a blue skit with just any shirt! Make that a jean skirt and it will match anything! Could even be the same color blue! I guess the jean material makes all the difference.

Makes me wonder, where did jeans come from? What makes them so special?

Here is a great snippet, it doesn't explain how they can match everything, but it is interesting:

The word "jeans" comes from the French phrase bleu de Gênes, literally the blue of Genoa. Jeans fabric, or denim, originated independently in two places: the French town of Nîmes, which 'denim' owes its name to; and in India, where trousers made of denim material were worn by the sailors of Dhunga, which came to be known as dungarees.[2]

At around the same time, denim trousers were made in Chieri, a town near Turin (Italy), during the Renaissance, and were popularized in the 16th century. These trousers were sold through the harbour of Genoa, which was the capital of the independent Republic of Genoa which was a naval power.

Early examples of these trousers were made for the Genoese Navy, which required all-purpose pants for its sailors. They required pants that could be worn wet or dry, the legs of which could easily be rolled up to wear while swabbing the deck. These jeans were laundered by dragging them in large mesh nets behind the ship, and the exposure to sea water and sun would gradually bleach them to white. They were especially worn by Genoan sailors and stevedores who worked in France.

Traditionally, jeans were dyed to a blue color using natural indigo dye. Today, it is more common to use synthetic indigo dye or sulfur dye.

I Live For Change!

Lack of posting. I know. Terrible. So many times I have started to write and NOTHING comes! I have a few things I would like to post about sometime, but to sit down and write them.

ANYWAYS, to the interesting stuff. Sunday we were supposed to have our last soccer game of the year. I was SO pumped for it. But because it was rainy and the field was pretty wet, it was cancelled. This was at about 1:45. At 1:47 I decided it would be fun to drive to the city and get my lip pierced! So I called Soul Survivor and what do you know, they were open till 8 and had lots of appointment left! So Eric, Kelly Ann and I went for a quick ride to the city, and voila:

It did not even hurt! It still hasn't really hurt. It is sore, but not really painful . I am so suprised. I expected way more pain than this! I love it so much though! (Kelly Ann has had her's for a month already. So no, I didn't take her behind her parents back! :) )

Afterwards we went to Carlos & Murphy's in Osborne, a mexican restaurant. It was delish! They had Chili & Lime Franks Red Hot sauce there! SO YUMMY! We were going to go to a movie, but were were about 1/2 hours late to all of them. So we went home and watched one. It was a great day! I love doing sponteneous things like that!

Soccer Dog

Sitting outside with Finn on a gorgeous day watching soccer. That's what I am doing right now and I love it! We have been trying to take him to as many games as we can. He really needs the socializing and training. I would much rather bring one of the other dogs that I know will behave, but hopefully one day he will too! Today he is much being much better than he has ever been yet, so that is a good sign!

Eric and I have been pretty busy with soccer lately! I have been having so much fun playing it this year! I just wish I was better. I went to Erics midget tournament last weekend, and my peewee tournament was this last weekend. Coaching as been fun this year. I love my team, they are all such good kids! I am so glad to have a job where I am done at two, so I can coach!
