WOW! This has taken a long time to post the rest of this! Sorry, I have been so busy and with dial up it takes so long to get onto blogger cause I have to refresh the page 20 times until it will load! Anways, the rest of the canoe trip......
Day 2
We slept for quite a while in the morning, and when we got up Terry was making eggs for breakfast. Canoeing that day was diffucult. We had to paddle against the wind and against the current. We didn't go very far that day. We stopped for a long time on a rock for lunch. We found another really nice set of rapids and we set up camp there for the night. It was a pretty short day for paddling. We swam and ate supper and watching some the of the kids canoe through the rapids, one canoe made it, the others tipped. It was great entertainment. It rained that night, but the tent I stayed in was dry, which was awesome!
Day 3
Some of the campers and Terry canoed up the river for a while. I think all the guys went, while all the girls and Eric stayed behind. We went swimming and napped. It rained while we napped. Then we packed up and started paddling back. The weather was not very nice, but it did not rain. We paddled back down the river. It was alot quicker going with the current, but of course we were going against the wind! We got to a campsite by a little set of rapids that we had scouted out on the first day. It had two picnic tables! It was great! It rained all night that night. Our tent was dry again! YAY
Day 4
We didn't worry much if all of our stuff was wet or dirty, cause we were going home!! Or so we thought we quickly paddled back to Bloodvein and found out the ferry was not running and it was too rough to take a boat across. I was CRUSHED. I wanted to get home so badly. To top it all off I found out my dogs were running all over the countryside and my step dad did not think we would get out until wednesday. And then instead of finding a place to stay in bloodvein, Terry decided to canoe out to one of the island and set up our sopping wet tents. I was so upset. We had some lunch and then napped in our tents. I was so glad to have the dryer tent and I was glad my bedding was still dry. I changed into the dryest clothes I had and layed down. I was just planning on staying in the tent until we could go home. We pray that they skies would clear at 4. We fell asleep until 5, so we have no idea if they were clear then. However, around 5 we were woken up with the announcement that would be going to sleep in a gym for night and someone would be making us supper. YAY! I was so excited not to have to stay in that tent another night! A nice lady name Yvonne let us into our home and made a delicous meal and let us watch her TV. Then she took us to the gym at the school. We hung up all of our wet stuff. I had a good sleep.
Day 5
We had to be out of the gym by 9 so we packed everything up and headed back to Yvonne. We watched TV ALL DAY LONG. At least we were inside a dry, warm house, but all I wanted to do was go home. We had a glimmer of hope we would get to go home that night, but the lake was still to dangerous. We slept at the gym again. The kids went crazy when they got there cause they had so much energy! I had a good sleep that night too.
Day 6
We were woken up early in the morning and two boats took us across the lake. The lake was calm. It was soooooooo nice to be home. I doubt I will ever go there again, never mind another canoe trip.

Hey, thanks for posting about your adventure, I was wondering when you'd finish it up. I wish I could have been along, sounds like lots of "stretching" happened all around!
Well, at least you got a good story out of it!
Jay
I know... it is all about the story...
