G

I am pretty tired today, and I don't know what to post. We had a lazy day and I really have no reason to be tired. But I am just feeling really stressed about work, trying to meet my Partylite goal, moving, buying the farm, infertility, trying to eat healthy and not getting enough exercise. My mid back stiffness is bad right now and my jaw has been hurting lots. I don't mean to complain, I am just feeling overwhelmed lately.

So, all you really get is a cute picture of my Greaser.

Cinnamon Bread

I made this today! Just about to go have a slice right now...

I made it with soy milk, margarine and whole wheat. But I used really sugar, I could only compromise so much...

Busy With Candles

This evening I have been very busy organizing myself with Partylite. I got an new order in, oh how I missed the sweet smell of fresh Partylite, so I organized that. Then I called and messaged people to try to book some more shows. I got one more booked. I would still like 2 or 3 more home parties this month! I have spent the last few minutes totalling up orders from Facebook and e-mail.

I am thinking about having a Mystery hostess party. I am not sure how well it will do, but I am getting worried about reaching my goal. It is SO hard to get people to book parties. I don't understand. I LOVE going to parties!

So far I am at $2800 in sales. I have 4 book parties on the go that I am closing soon, and one home party to do. I will get halfway for sure!

New House Dreams

I have been dreaming a lot about the new house. I love this look with the grey walls, white wainscotting and dark floors.

I LOVE the colour of the floors in the second picture.

And the very dark grey in the last picture is really intriguing!

Fiesta Lime Chicken

Today we hosted a bible study and potluck at our place and I tried a new recipe.  It is one of my favourites from applebees. I don't know why I always try recipes for the first time on a new crown, but I do. It was delicious! I am glad I did. I subbed the sour cream for greek yogurt & skipped the tequila. Next time I will also use the light mayo, but this time we were just using up what we had!

Fiesta Lime Chicken

Directions:

  1. 1 Prepare marinade: Mix together in bowl; water, teriyaki sauce, juice from 1/2 of lime, garlic, tequila (if desired), liquid smoke, salt and ginger.
  2. 2 Marinate chicken breasts at least an hour in mixture.
  3. 3 Prepare sauce: Mix together in bowl; mayonnaise, sour cream, salsa, milk, cajun spice, parsley and hot sauce.
  4. 4 Cover and place in refrigerator until needed.
  5. 5 Broil or grill chicken chicken until cooked through.
  6. 6 Brush tops of chicken breasts with sauce, sprinkle on cheese and broil until cheese is melted.
  7. 7 Cut remaining lime into 4ths.
  8. 8 Serve chicken on tortilla chips with lime garnish.
  9. 9 Great with rice!

Wooden Countertops

In the fun of dreaming and planning for our house, somehow I thought of the idea to have wooden countertops. I would really like the look of them, and I would like to stain them the same colour of the table I will build. I am still trying to research it to see what is safe stain wise and what type of wood I should use. We don't care it if gets beat up and burned. In fact we kinda like that. We want it to look rustic and well worn. We actually want to use it as a cutting board too. Eric wants to be able to stick knives in it instead of using a knife block.

If you know of anyone who has done their own wood countertops please let me know. I think I would like to ask them some questions!

Tournament & Ten Pin

So the boys lost. Every game. Made for not so exciting hockey, but I had a great time hanging out with friends.

After the tournament was over we went to Montana's for supper an then 10 pin bowling! I have never been 10 pin bowling before, and I found it was a lot easier. I even managed to get a strike throwing with my left hand! We had a great night/weekend with friends. We definitely don't do that enough!

EMC Cup

This weekend are in Steinbach for the EMC Cup mens hockey tournament. This is a weekend I always look forward to every weekend. I enjoy relaxing, chatting with friends, watching the boys play and mostly a weekend away with Eric.

They lost their game this evening, and have a game first thing tomorrow morning at 815, and then again at 230ish. We have a lot of time to kill. I plan on doing a costco run and possible looking for some flooring for the new place! Should be a fun day!

First Successful Show!

This evening I had my first Partylite show. It was a HUGE success. There was so many people that showed up it was unreal. I felt so overwhelmed and so blessed by the support. Thank you to everyone that came out!

I was starting to doubt whether I could sell 10,000 this month. But this give me a lot more hope!

OH! And my website is up and running, so if you can't make it to any of the shows and would like to order, please check it out!

This Weeks Sad Menu

So someone asked what our meal plan was for the week. It is kinda sad this week, but I will post it anyways.

Tuesday - Breakfast for supper & fruit
Wednesday - Hamburgers with carrot stick
Thursday - Frozen Pizza and salad.

Not very creative this week. We mostly used stuff on hand, and though of how much time we have. We chose frozen pizza on thursday because it is on sale, and neither of us will have a lot of time to make a nice meal on Thursday.

We will be sitting down with on Sunday night with the flyers to try to figure out next weeks menu. It should be much more creative!

Menu Plan

Last night we decided to start doing a menu plan. We were wasting a lot of food, and spending too much money on groceries we didn't need. It made today's shopping experience much easier, and we don't have to ponder all day what we are having. I am excited that we are doing this together. I am interested to see how much money it will save us!

Finished Quilts

Not sure if you remember me posting about making quilts last February. Well I finally finished them and they turned out great. The quilter did a great job and the design is beautiful. They are finally off to their new owners. I finished them a few weeks ago but only uploaded the pictures to my computer today!

Happy Movember

This is what I get to look at for the next month. Well, it is actually shaved back from a handle bar to more of a straight "man's moustache" as he likes to call it. Whatever the case, it is large, thick and ugly. But also humorous at the same time. Anyone you know doing Movember?

Don't forget to turn your clocks back! Yay for sleeping in!

Baking Night

Eric was away this evening and I was all out of my good cookies so I decided to try out some new recipes from my Low GI book. I made Chewy Peanut Bars, Chocolate Drops, and Chocolate Almond Slices. I have to say, I am not overly thrilled with any of them. They are all kinda bland. Especially the Choc. Almond Sliced, they are almost bitter! The Chewy Peanut Bars are probably my favourite, but I haven't eaten a whole lot of them to decide if I like them a lot or not.

I feel like this whole night was a fail. Oh well. There is always another night!

Hockey

Tonight was my first hockey practice of the season. It was great to get all suited up, to skate around and to hang out with those ladies again. I really like them all.

The only downside is my feet. They started cramping up about 5 minutes in and progressively got worse. In fact my feet are still pretty crampy even right now.

I love playing, but I hate sucking. I just wish I could skate forwards and backwards with ease and to be able to handle the puck. I SO wish I would have played as a kid.

I guess I am going to pay fro Nov/Dec and then we will see what January brings!

Lil' Bro

The other day I did a photo shoot with my brother for my mom's Christmas cards. It was a lot of fun even though I had to bribe him with a box of almonds if he cooperated. He did great despite the fact I made him stand in cold water with bare feet on a cold day. My mom doesn't want me to post the ones for the card until after Christmas, and I am not done editing any of the other ones, but here is a sneak peak!
I love this picture because it looks like he is staring straight through the camera. Plus I love the contrast of the aged wood with the blue.

Even More IUI Stuff!

First thing this morning I got the call from one of the nurses from Heartland. I was so pumped to finally talk to her. I decided to do injectable stimulation because it has a high success rate. This means we will be cycling with the IVFers. And if I get over stimulated, then we can switch to IVF if we want, which we will probably do.

Then she asked if we would be interested in IVF in the future if needed. I said yes, so she put us on the IVF list as of the day we paid, so June 10th, 2011. Which is TOTALLY AWESOME! Usually the wait list is 8-12 months so it is awesome we got a head start. And we don't have to pay an additional sign up fee to get on the list. So this means that if we need to go to IVF, we won't have the long wait time.

She is sending out my forms and a prescription for the pill just incase I need to go on it. She said I would start my cycle around January 4th with insemination day around the week of the 23rd.

I am so glad to finally have some plans. I feel like this is finally going somewhere. That finally everything is falling into place.

Did I mention the nurse I spoke to was SUPER nice!

I am so thankful to God for the hope He continually gives. Please pray for us as we continue on this exciting journey!
