I Want To Stay Home!

These long weekends are no good for me. I get to stay home and just hang out. I get to clean my house, play with my dogs, do laundry, organize stuff, go get groceries and run errands, feed horses, make quilts, groom dogs, weed my garden, bake pies and cookies, make lunch for my husband, spend time with my horse, and blog often. I love that I can do all that stuff and not be stressed about time or anything. These weekends give me a taste of what it would be like to not have a full time job and to stay at home. It would be awesome.

When Eric and I first moved into this trailer after college, I didn't have a full time job for a few weeks. I got to do all the stuff I just described and more. It was awesome. I was so happy! All I want is to do that again! But right now it is just not logical to do that. If I would have just stayed home and not gotten a job, we would never have been able to go to Europe for 3 months, get a new car, make a horse fence here, renovate the trailer, etc. If I stopped working now we would not be able to do alot of the things we have planned for the house and it would take us longer to save for a house. So for now it is just dreaming. I am hoping it can be reality sooner than later though.

Ah yes, the grass is always a little greener on the other side! I have the frustration of being at home and yet having to think of a way to make some money, and yet if I was to get a job and have to find childcare I don't think I'd be happy.
Very cute little tomatoes by the way!

I never had the desire to have a career. Being home with my family is exactly where I want to be. That being said, I agree with Jobina. I struggle with wanting to make some extra money but not knowing what to do.

I don't really have the desire to have a "career" either. My dream job is to be a stay at home mom. But I want to breed dogs and perhaps sew stuff to sell. But that is not really a career. I hate being away from home all day. I want to do something where I can stay at home. I am a big homebody.
