I Live For Change!

Lack of posting. I know. Terrible. So many times I have started to write and NOTHING comes! I have a few things I would like to post about sometime, but to sit down and write them.

ANYWAYS, to the interesting stuff. Sunday we were supposed to have our last soccer game of the year. I was SO pumped for it. But because it was rainy and the field was pretty wet, it was cancelled. This was at about 1:45. At 1:47 I decided it would be fun to drive to the city and get my lip pierced! So I called Soul Survivor and what do you know, they were open till 8 and had lots of appointment left! So Eric, Kelly Ann and I went for a quick ride to the city, and voila:

It did not even hurt! It still hasn't really hurt. It is sore, but not really painful . I am so suprised. I expected way more pain than this! I love it so much though! (Kelly Ann has had her's for a month already. So no, I didn't take her behind her parents back! :) )

Afterwards we went to Carlos & Murphy's in Osborne, a mexican restaurant. It was delish! They had Chili & Lime Franks Red Hot sauce there! SO YUMMY! We were going to go to a movie, but were were about 1/2 hours late to all of them. So we went home and watched one. It was a great day! I love doing sponteneous things like that!

Soccer Dog

Sitting outside with Finn on a gorgeous day watching soccer. That's what I am doing right now and I love it! We have been trying to take him to as many games as we can. He really needs the socializing and training. I would much rather bring one of the other dogs that I know will behave, but hopefully one day he will too! Today he is much being much better than he has ever been yet, so that is a good sign!

Eric and I have been pretty busy with soccer lately! I have been having so much fun playing it this year! I just wish I was better. I went to Erics midget tournament last weekend, and my peewee tournament was this last weekend. Coaching as been fun this year. I love my team, they are all such good kids! I am so glad to have a job where I am done at two, so I can coach!

A Farmer's Wife

I love a warm, sunny day hanging outside at the farm. I really can't explain why. There is just something about being on a farm yard. I just love being there, doing things. It is just not the same doing them here at home. I am quite happy to be married to a man, who not only is smart and handsome, but also want to be a farmer! YAY! My dream! I am really looking forward to the days when we have a house closer to the farm, and I get to stay home and take care of kids! I can't wait for more warm, sunny farm days!

Sickness...

It's amazing how fast a body can go from relatively healthy to sickness. Yesterday morning I woke up feeling fine, felt great all day at work, and even good into the evening. Later on in the evening I started to get a headache, at around 8:30-9. I thought it was just cause I was tired. A couple hours later at around 1030 I had a little bit of sinus pain and mentioned to Eric I think I might be getting sick. At around 11, I had a pulsing headache, stuffy nose, sinus pain and my body was so tired I felt like I had just run the Boston Marathon. All in HALF AN HOUR!! Now today, all I want to do is sleep. I hate being sick. Especially on beautiful days like today. Sleep is just not an option.

One More....

So I told myself I would not add to the list once I clicked "Publish Post" cause then it would grow each time I looked at it. I have thought of so many more already! But this is one of the best. Can't believe I forgot it.
35. He laughs with me. I am so happy to have someone with a similar sense of humour, that even manages to genuinely laugh at my jokes. I am pretty sure he makes me laugh everyday. I love our inside jokes, and there is alot of them! I love to laugh!

Hello! :)

I know, I know. What is the point of having a blog if I never write on it! I have been meaning to write this post for a while now, but never got around to it. So many things have been going on, they are hard to keep up with. And I like to give you something interesting to read. But for now, just a life update...

Lately my life is been busy. But it is hard to say lately, cause it has been over a year now. And there is NO end in sight! i just keep adding things on to the to do list, keep agreeing to commitments. I must like it! As for what I have been keeping busy with:
  1. Working 20 hours a week at the farm
  2. Working 8 hours a week at Arborg Vet Hospital
  3. Coaching Pee-Wee Soccer
  4. Playing Adult Soccer
  5. Youth
  6. Riding my horse
  7. Taking care of my animals
  8. Learning piano
  9. Knitting
  10. Sewing a dress
  11. Trying to organize the house
And all of those things I love! I have never been happier, but I am also choosing to be happier. I am trying to be content with what I have, but somedays it is SO HARD when I think of all the things wrong, mostly with my house.

I love learning piano. I love the challenge. I love when I go from frustrated over how to play a song to playing to smoothly! So rewarding!!

I am so glad to have a horse to ride. I have been riding Chai, my newest addition. He is a 15 year old Quarter Horse I saved from the meat market, and he is GREAT! He has a good head on his shoulders, he just needs some time invested in him! The other one, Zaiyah, is going to training whenever Kathleen gets back from Wyoming!

I am ALMOST done knitting my baby blanket. This is the one I have been knitting for over 4 years, but I unraveled it and restarted it at Christmas time. Done in 6 months? Not bad!

I am REALLY loving playing soccer, it is so nice to be on that field again. I just love soccer. We are a soccer family for sure. I like it better than hockey....

Youth is winding down. I had a blast this year. I love being part of Youth and I never want to give it up! Abundant Springs was great! We had a great turn out there and I think the youth had a really great time. We played an awesome game on Sunday. Basically the kids had to run around to station and answer a bible trivia question. If they got it right, they got a stamp and moved on. If they got it wrong, they had to do the challenge at that station! It really made them search their bible to find the answers!

This summer is looking crazy busy for me already. I do not have a job this summer. The first four weeks are open, but I can fill them going to camp. The fifth week the youth are going up north to a bible camp to staff it. The 6th and 7th week Eric and I are heading off on a road trip to Montreal and Quebec City and Toronto. I have a Partylite conference in Quebec city for 3 days and the rest of the time we will be tourists! Then the last week of summer it is back to work! I am going to be working back at Gimli Vet Services in the fall, 3-4 days a week. I am excited to go back actually. Because I will be gone for the whole summer, I am not sure if I want to use the first 4 weeks to go to camp. I think I will go for 2 weeks for sure. But I would have NO time with my animals this summer if I did that, and I would never get to ride my horses. I don't want to be selfish, but I don't want my animals to be ignored either. If I could go home a couple times a week, or even sleep at home, I might go for the whole time. I just love decisions!

Article One

This is the band that was at Abundant Springs! I didn't think I knew them, so I only stayed for one song. Turns out the first song was this one, which I have been hearing on the radio in the last couple months and I really like it! They were great, but I was far to tired to stay and watch them all. Plus concerts are so much better when you know the song! They also lead our worship time earlier in the evening. And I think they wore the exact same outfits at AS as they did in this video! Enjoy!

"This Sucks"

The best thing ever happened today. It is pretty windy and stormy out today, as most of us have experienced, so the power went out at about 7:45. It flickered a bunch so I knew it would be out for a while. I had small groups and Eric decided to go to town. I was so happy Christy's house had power. I had a really great night at small groups! I love my girls lots!

Kellly Ann was supposed to come over to watch 90210, but because the power was still off we dropped her off at home. We pulled into our pitch dark driveway and sadly walked into our blackened house. I was thinking of where I put the lighter so we could get all the candles going, and starting to panic cause I could not see anything and I couldn't remember. "This sucks" I said. Not even a 1/2 second later, the lights flicker back on! I was speachless for a while...Thanks God!

Soccer, My Love, Where Have You Been?

NO PUPPIES!! I hardly know what to do with myself. I dropped the last one off in Winnipeg last night, she is going to Red Lake, ON! It is so nice not having any extra mouths to feed and poo to clean up. AND we can finally regain our spare room back and possible even have a decent smelling house again!!

Last night was my first soccer game of the season. I am so excited to be playing again!! I am also coaching PeeWee's this year. I LOVE soccer. I had a blast playing last night, even though we lost quite badly to Morweena. Boy am I sore today though! I am really feeling my age now. Not to mention I did several summersaults in the game! I couldn't be more thrilled though!!! :) :) :)

Off the wagon again!

I always get on a roll with blogging only to stop abruptly! I have been so busy lately!

Tonight we attended our first obedience training class for Finn. Eric will be taking him most of the time, but I will be there when I can. He got neutered yesterday, so we are hoping that and these classes will help him to be a more focused and obedient! It will be fun! I wish I could take him all the time! Can't wait to have very obedient dogs!

I LOVE Firefox for two reasons, it spell checks everything you write, and new windows pop up as extra tabs instead of extra windows! GENIUS!

The Key

Imagine you "borrow" someone else's car without asking. But this person doesn't even own the car. They are just borrowing it. You let a 15 year old student drive the car to town, everything goes pretty smoothly. You rent a movie and a tonne of treats. You get back to the car and watch the driver put the wrong key in the door, the ignition key. SNAP. They key breaks in the lock. Panic ensues. You pick the key shard out of the lock and race to the local hardware store to get a replacement, praying all the way. The key master highly doubts that the new key she made for you will work, broken keys rarly do she informs us. You race back to the car and try the new key in the ignition, praying still. You turn the key and rejoice at the grumbling of the engine! Crisis averted. You decided it is best if you drive back.

Two Babies?

Today we took Conan, our last boy Irish Setter puppy to the airport and flew him to BC! I was SOOOOO nervous to send him on a plane all alone. I got the call about an hour ago that he made it there and he is ok! YAY!

Eric came with me to the city. I was so glad to have help with Conan and company. We went to Olive Garden for lunch and got the soup salad and breadsticks. MMM Zuppa Toscana is the best soup ever! I only had one bowl though, then I was full! Then I went to Fabricland and spend far too much time in there. I bought a pattern for dresses that I will attempt to make for this summer. I would love to make a bunch of them for my little cousin Charlee. I bought some really cute fabrics for that as well! I will post pics when they are made. I am still working on sewing blakents for the craft show on Wednesday.

About 1/2 hour ago I sold another puppy! Flanna has a new family and 4 kids to play with!! Right now there is only 4 left, and after tomorrow, there will probably only be two! I can hardly beleive that! I am so happy they are all going to good homes and families that will give them the attention they deserve!

Why I MUST Be Crazy

I love this quote! I found it in the book "Rumours of Another World" by Phillip Yancey. Gives me reason for crazy:

If the world is sane, then Jesus is mad as a hatter and the Last Supper is the Mad Tea Party. The world says, Mind your own business, and Jesus says, There is no such thing as your own business. The world says, Follow the wisest course and be a success, and Jesus says, Follow me and be crucified. The world says, Drive carefully - the life you save may be your own - and Jesus says, Whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. The world says, Law and order, and Jesus says, Love. The world says, Get and Jesus says, Give.In terms of the world's sanity, Jesus is crazy as a coot, and anybody who thinks he can follow him without being a little crazy too is laboring less under a cross than under a delusion. - Frederick Buechner

Biking To Work

Today I woke up like 1/2 an hour earlier than normal, cause we had to drop the car off with Eloa to take to town so it can get new tired. They are "banana peels" as the guy called it. Oops. Anyways, I realized that I would have no way home other than walking after work, which I really don't feel like today, so I decided to bike. Really I should have gotten Eric to ride the bike to work, as I am not feeling great this morning. I know I will feel better by the afternoon. But now it is too late and I have to bike. It is going to be a gorgeous day I think, blue skies, the sun is smiling! I should not complain and just thank God that I even have the ability to bike! Choosing happiness is much better than being pessimistic I am starting to realize!

New Look! :)

I decided to FINALLY get rid of the darkness, and come into the light! I LOVE my new template! It is my favorite color and bright, just in time for spring! I had to delete all of my add ons and stuff, so I have to work on that a bit yet, but I am pretty happy with it. I need to switch up the title though, the "diary of a crazy person" needs to look different...

What Else...

Why is it on days that start out rough, when I try to think positively and make the day good, bad things just keep happening? I am STILL not feeling good today, I am just feeling really worn out. I was a total grumpy bear this morning. Then I thought I was all organized today when I went to town to do a deposit and drop a couple things off. I forgot my deposit at home. I could just SCREAM! Then I went to Coop and my package of screws opened up all over the grounds. Embarassing. I am done with the bad things. I just want good stuff. It is a gorgeous, warm, sunny day. It is supposed to be a happy day! I am really going to try not to let those little things get me down. But I still just have that question lingering in the back of my mind "What now? What else?"

12 Year Old Me

When I was out at my Mom's place this weekend, I started to clean out some of the boxes I have there. I came across my journal that I wrote when I was 11-13, mostly when I was 12. WOW. I am ever different! I felt like I was reading the journal of someone else! I wrote so openly about everything. I cared deeply about such petty things. It is mostly about boys and the boys I thought were cute and that I liked. It is kinda funny to read about liking one boy one day, hating him the next, then liking him again 2 days later. LOL! It is funny to read me talking about liking Eric Dueck, and talking about getting married and my future husband. Little did I know the two would be the same! I also had such a low self esteem. I just hated myself, it breaks my heart to read it! Reading that journal makes me SO thankful for Jesus' love. I am so glad He saved me from that life. I am so glad He set me free. All of my worries and burdens I can pass onto His shoulders! PRAISE HIM! :)

The Weekend So Far...

Yesterday Eric, Paris, Fleury, Conan, Flynns and I went out to Matheson Island. I had a Partylite show to do, and my mom wanted me to bring out two of the Irish Setter puppies. The ride there wasn't too great, the puppies got car sick! ARGH! We had a delish supper with my parents and then I went to my Partylite show. It was GREAT! There were 14 guests there and it was the 2nd best show I have ever done! YAY! I am so pumped!

The rest of the weekend we just spend hanging out with my parents. We kept the two Irish Setter pups inside and they were SO GOOD! They were pretty calm and they didn't wreck anything! Makes me want to have them out in our house more! I feel so bad for them stuck in that room! They really need homes that they can hang out in and a family to love them! They are such sweet puppies!

My house is SLOWLY getting cleaning. Today I finally went through all my instock Partylite stuff, as you can see from the previous post! I can't believe all the stuff I have. It is rediculous! I need to get it out of my house! I have been hoarding things away that I know I will not use for years, so some of the stuff I am selling I was planning to keep. But I just don't need all that right now. If I ever want it, I can just buy it again or buy something else. I will not die.

I would like to think that my house is slowly getting more organized. Lately I have been getting better at doing housework after work, so my house is staying a bit cleaner. The only problem is when I am busy for a few days in a row, then it becomes a tornado again! I have to learn how to stop that and keep my house clean even when I am in a rush!

BUY THIS STUFF! I AM OVERSTOCKED! :)
