Spa Day!

For breakfast today M made us all his special fluffy crepes and bacon. Then C and I headed to Elkhorn resort for a spa day we had book. The boys were supposed to to golfing, and we didn't want to go so we booked the spa. They ended up playing tennis instead, but that is alright.

We had a good & relaxing time at the spa. C and I are both busy bodies, so it was a little weird for us to sit around and be pampered for the day. We thought of it as our after-a-busy-summer award (We work together). We each got a manicure, pedicure and massage. In between we enjoyed cucumber water, herbal tea, trail mix, muffins, steam room, shower with 7 heads (3 on each side spraying horizontally and 1 regular) and the mineral pool.

Most of the day we didn't see each other because most of our treatments were with the same person, but we did get to enjoy lunch together.

For both the mani and pedi, they would moisturize your hands and then cover them with paraffin wax and let it sit for 15 minutes. It was kinda neat. Definitely had never done that before, other than sticking my fingers into candle wax from time to time....

Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. It was fun to have a spa day, something I have never done before, but I wouldn't want to do it all the time.

We were at the spa from 10 am to 5 pm, so after we got back the group of us went for supper at a little italian place. It was really good! After supper the other 3 headed back home, and we grabbed our bikes in search of a coffee shop! The one we liked closed 2 hours earlier than they were supposed to, but luckily there was one more open!

After getting our lattes we went back to the cabin to play Apples to Apples and Monopoly until bedtime! I love games!
