I am still following the fastest 5K plan. Today was surges again. Last week it was 30 second surges, and today it was 1 minutes surges. Basically, I warm up, then run fast for 1 minute, and then then a 2 minute recovery jog. I was supposed to repeat that 10-12 times. My plan was to do it 12 times, which would have equaled a 36 minute run.
About 20 minutes into the run I started getting really bad menstrual-type cramps, but I kept running. I have gotten them before when doing TurboFire, and they went away when I relaxed a bit, but I didn't want to wreck my run either. They were just getting worse, so I stopped running at 30 minutes which means I only did 10 surges. I walked the rest of the way home. It was my hardest run yet, for sure. I knew from the first surge it was going to be a challenge to get through it all, but I am glad I did.
By the time I got home, the cramps were gone. Could it mean that CD1 is right around the corner? That my surgery and naturopathic treatments are working? I sure hope so!
